For T-Mobile customers only - I did not purchase the memoir camera, but had just upgraded to the NOKIA 5610. My store would have let me purchase the cameo with no phone purchase.
The price on the T-Mobile Cameo photo frame has changed to $39.99 (from $99.99) and the monthly service is now $1.99/month (from $10/month). For those who haven't heard, the Cameo has it's own phone number and e-mail, and upon receipt of pictures sent to it, sets the picture up in the digital frame.
Currently no contract and no activation fee. No time limit, so if you want it as just the digital frame, cancel the service after a month.
I purchased 3 - one for me, one for a 21st birthday, and one for a portion of a HS graduation gift.

Even a picture frame has its own telephone number!! How much longer before we all have to move to 15 digit phone numbers?

It's only available from a retail store. I called my local store and they quoted $100 for it plus $1.99 monthly service charge. They offered to match the 39.99 price if I could bring a printout.
Can someone post a link to the 39.99 price?

Paying $2 a month to send crappy pictures taken on a phone to a picture frame seems very silly.

So essentially it's a 7" frame for $40. How does that compare with street prices?

Actually, something like this would be great for the parents. Take a pic and send it off to them instantly. Not bad for $1.99 per month. Worth looking into. Thanks OP!

This review points out the main advantage of the monthly service: Giving it to less tech-savvy relatives so that they can have a constantly-updated stream of photos of their loved ones without any effort on their part. http://www.brighthand.com/default.asp?newsID=14663

Sounds like a very good idea. Is there a roaming charge for this "photo phone"? I would happily buy couple if I can take them to another country.

Retail store says it is still $99, but he thinks he read an email about the price drop and that it might be "coming soon"

key question is can the photo frame be anywhere in the world or does it have to be in USA.

Does anyone know if the rebate is from the manufacturer (cameo) or tmobile?
I had a terrible experience with tmobile rebates before...

There's not much info online for this item, but I doubt it works on anyone's network other than T-Mobile. However, it does have memory card and USB connections, so you could add photos to it via those methods in another country.
azngirly127 said:Does anyone know if the rebate is from the manufacturer (cameo) or tmobile? According to the link in the OP, the $40 rebate is only for those who purchase a T-Mobile Samsung Memoir, meaning those buyers effectively get it for free. The $39.99 is the new regular price for the item.

Bump! It seems that everybody I have talked to has been ripped off by T-mo rebates!

Too bad my MIL lives in a cave, otherwise I could send her pictures.
