Every day is free fishing day at the Cook County Forest preserves. Most of these people don't bother with a licence and keep Bass under the legal limit.

Sad to say you are correct, sir. Been out to Busse about 20 times this season and haven't been checked yet. Bucket heads will be out in full force this weekend.

Oh this is awesome. I'm going on vacation tomorrow out of state and was planning on buying an out of state fishing license for next week.. apparently I don't need one now!


Err.. good thing I called. I misread the date range. I thought it was June until July... not just 2 days.

Again, nonresident rules vary by state. New York's free fishing weekend (last full weekend in June) is available to all. I fished on Lake Seneca this June while visiting family up there.
