From beginning to now, I ordered 5 to 10 in total. I could tell the later one cheaper, but seems less contents. My early orders came with a spare fuse. The recent one doesn't have the fuse any more. |

Got one of these when they were $12 over a year ago. Still works great! |

Well, I too took the plunge... I've had a CD stuck in my CD player for months and being limited to the radio was driving me nuts. I think that quality of the actual transmitter is mediocre (though the remote feels sturdy enough). It works OK. I've used it with both an SD card and usb, and (because not being able to skip to a specific track proved too annoying) with my smart-phone... although I had to buy an adapter at R@dio Sh@ck. I find that the connection with both the car charger and the cord that goes to my phone is finicky, so I have to be careful not to touch them and often have to jiggle to unit to restore a clear signal. You can hear static between songs but it is not noticeable when a song is playing as long as the audio is high enough. Otherwise, the audio quality is fine... not great, just fine. Because of the position of the cigarette lighters in my car, it is inconvenient to make adjustments like changing tracks while driving or seing where you are in your playlist, so I have to make sure that my songs are arranged just the way I'll want them played before a trip. As I've said, for more control of my tunes I prefer to use the RealPlayer software on my phone, but that also means having to make sure that my phone's battery is fully charged or is being charged while I'm driving (this requires more than one cigarette lighter in your car, a splitter, or some external means of charging you phone for longer trips). So for $6.27 it was worth it as a temporary measure (I plan to get a newer car soon so I've desire to replace the in dash radio/CD system). However, I don't see myself using this long term, it's just too inconvenient. |

Bought it, it was lousy quality for the short while it worked properly, then it required a lot of fiddling to keep it working, then it died. Junk - a waste of my money, that's what I rate it as. |
