Great FM transmitter. Got one from the same place 1 year ago. The unit works great without any problem. Good quality! |

Gertrude23 said:I'd like to order this (I think I understand correctly that it will play songs from an iPod and maybe FM radio?). I'd like to also use minispeakers with it. Is that possible--use iPod & speakers, all through the cigarette lighter? Is there any particular speaker(s) you would suggest on the DE site? Thanks from a music-gadget challenged FWer! No, this plays music via your FM radio. It transmits an FM signal to your radio. You plug it into your lighter to power it, and you plug your device into the transmitter. If you don't have an FM car radio with speakers, do not get this. |

moonsite said: I had other transmitters, but this one is the best in term of signal strength. I'm willing to bet this thingy isn't exactly registered with the FCC...for that reason, I am in for one. Hopefully, it has strong output ala the old Sirius/XM modulators (pre-FCC neutering). |

lazyworm said:This is a radio transmitter which convert mp3 song into radio signal and transmit to your car radio. Your car radio tune to a certain channel.then the music is playing throu your car radio to your car speaker. No speaker or other hardware is needed. Why it is an mp3 player because it play mp3 format. Burning to a CD is a hassle compare to copying to a SD card. So with a sd card, the transmitter becomes an actual mp3 player? |

I have only one cigarette lighter in my car and my GPS sits in it when I drive.
Any way out? A cigarette lighter splitter? |

I'm ordering one. I've been trying to get my mom to use an mp3 player in her car. But, that's not happening. Maybe she will use this, since it's a more basic, all-in-one device. |

dpid said:Ruatha80 said:You know, I bought these two weeks ago when they were on sale too. I just got it in the mail yesterday and am quite surprised by it. It's worked surprisingly well and has less noise distortion than my fancier, more expensive one that just broke. I know some people said they had trouble with the remotes arriving DOA, but mine seems to work just fine. I am very happy with it, especially because it can play back through an SD card or USB flash drive as well as another mp3 player or CD player.
Only con I noticed was there isn't anyway to power it off other than by pulling it out of the outlet. Doesn't bother me that much, but it would keep a very tiny drain on the battery if you forget to pull it out.
It did take 14 days to get to me, but I expect that from Deal Extreme. Overall, I'm very happy with this little gadget, especially for the price
Wouldn't the outlet power be cut when you turn off the car? Not in all cars. My car (Dodge Stratus) keeps powering the outlet even when the car is shut off. and it makes it a pain in the butt because I have to remember to unplug my car charger everytime I get out of my car. |

does any one know how to get the player to remember the frequency, last-played song? 'cause every time i pull it out and plug it in, it returns to the initial state, like, the first frequency in the FM band, the first song, and regular play mode(not random). it drives me mad that way. i have to change the frequency, the play mode every time. it seems no one else has the same problem???!!! wired. i saw some one said it remember the song number, but it is not in my case. am i getting a stupid one? /facepalm... |

I ordered 3 of these & paid via Pay Pal. This is my first time using PP to buy anything. I have not received any confirming e-mail from Deal Extreme about the order. However the payment has been debited to my PayPal account --- details of which show something which looks like an order confirmation with order details & shipping info. Thus I am hoping I'll get my items. BTW nothing shown in my account about paypal.hk |

One dumb question: If I plug my iPod into this through the usb port, will it turn the ipod off when the car is turned off? I know if I connect my ipod through the aux cable, the ipod will keep playing, but can I connect it through the usb port and then it would shut off when the car is turned off? Thanks. |
