Hey guys!
is the radio signal strength in the area where you're using this product of a concern?

A good place to find unused FM frequency in your zip code.

pigus said:does any one know how to get the player to remember the frequency, last-played song?

'cause every time i pull it out and plug it in, it returns to the initial state, like, the first frequency in the FM band, the first song, and regular play mode(not random). it drives me mad that way. i have to change the frequency, the play mode every time.

it seems no one else has the same problem???!!! wired. i saw some one said it remember the song number, but it is not in my case. am i getting a stupid one? /facepalm...

Either you got one with old firmware, or defect one.
Mine remembers the freq and last playing song. Compared to MP3 players, the drawback of this item is that it does not remember the exact last playing point within a song.

I bought this unit about 8 months back. It worked good for 6 months and then crapped out! You get what you pay! I don't like DE quality. I would rather pay little more and get better quality.

just noticed my response was way too late. oops.

Anyhow, I'm happy with these things. Very versatile. I carry 2GB SD cards and bring the device from car to car. They work pretty well.
They don't last forever, but mine lasted over 2 years before it started acting up. (not this exact model)

if this breaks, at least you can use it as an ipod charger?

I'm in for one. I'm using a crappy replacement right now cause i didn't feel like paying thirty bucks on something that probably wouldn't have worked any better.

My last order from DX took almost two months to ship! :0

It was "in stock" when I ordered it.....

this thing is good for me because
1) when I'm on a business trip, I can hook my ipod to this thing and listen through car's speakers (I don't use ear buds when I drive, it makes me miss my calls).
2) when I'm on a family vacation trip, with kids watching DVD on the back seats, I can hook the DVD player's audio to this thing and kids can listen through the van's speakers. When they use the DVD player's speaker, the sounds are just right behind the back of my head, very annoying. Using the van's speakers, the sounds are coming from floor level, very comfortable for long drives.

just my experiences... Good deal, green for you!
