It shows $89.99 but actually if you go to store it will be $79.99 + tax and no rebate is needed...pretty sure it will works for the whole California but not sure about other area...hope it helps. Anyway Happy Easter guys!!!
7K1000.B looks to be the newer 3-platter design instead of the heat-mongrel 5-platter http://www.behardware.com/news/9817/hitachi-7k1000-b-375-gb-per-platter.html
Remember to tack on $8-9 tax since this is B&M only. Would've greened OP if the title was more accurate.
Thanks. Linked for your benefit. Seems like this drive is more in line with the E7K1000 model. The E7K1000 model has 5 yr warranty and 120k hr mtbf. What are the 7K1000.B's warranty and MTBF? I tried the data sheet and their website but didn't find that info. http://www.hitachigst.com/portal/site/en/products/deskstar/7K1000.B/ Data Sheet

You are wrong, it is not "incorrect". But it can be somewhat confusing if you quickly read it. It is a ATA hard drive, he is just not giving the detail whether it is Parallel (P) or Serial (S).

So you owe me an apology, which would best be expressed by sending $5 to my Paypal account. Thank you.

Just wanted to say that hiddenguard sounds like a super douche.
I have 1TB hitachi drive not sure about heating issues because its used as an aux drive and only starts up when being accessed. So far is been good to me..I cloned one of my HDD that had around 400gigs of data on it and it didnt give me a hiccup.
I want to pick up another 1TB for my future HTPC but I'm pretty sure it'll keep going down in price...so I'll just wait for when I build it

Is it the same drive as this one? The price seems the same ($80 ar Fry's and $79.99 at Newegg).

I almost got one, but it is a bare drive (intended for service replacements I suppose)with only 1YR warranty not 3YR as is stated on FRY'S website for the same part number.

I also went to get this drive and saw that it was a 16mb cache and 1 year warranty, so I did not get it. It isn't the 7K1000.B I was replying about earlier.
