Does anyone have any experience with this brand? I am on the fence whether to pull the trigger and any feedback regarding the quality, price, or taste would be immensely appreciated.

I got in on this deal the last time it was offered and will be running out in about a week, so I'll be buying another 10 lbs. I ordered the double rich chocolate and chocolate mint flavors...both taste just fine, but the chocolate mint seems to leave an aftertaste for a while, so I think I'll be playing it safe and ordering two tubs of the double rich chocolate (unless anyone has other suggestions!).

Might want to try one of the Double Rich Chocolate and one of Extreme Milk Chocolate to compare. I like the Extreme Milk Chocolate a little more, but my girlfriend likes the Double Rich more.
I think I've heard Rocky Road isn't too good. Anyone ever try the Caramel Toffee Fudge or Chocolate Malt?

Thanks OP, great deal and always had a good experience with FitRx
Can't go wrong with Double Rich Chocolate. I've tried Mint and it's a good change every now and then but I wouldn't order a large qty of it again. I also tried Cookie's and Cream, and liked that a little better than the Mint, but not as much as the Double Rich chocolate.
I mix mine with water, so it might be better for those who mix w/milk with the flavors

I have been using this whey protein for quite a while and I think that it's great. You will find that it digests much faster than some other whey products which leads to better protein absorption. I suggest the vanilla ice cream flavor as it can be mixed with almost any juice or gatorade - you can't really go that route with chocolate. I am not too crazy about mixing protein with only water unless its something like muscle milk which comes out thicker because of the fat content. I usually buy my supplements from Bodybulding.com or Vitacost.com.
I'm a noob. I use milk with Strawberries & Cream. Am I correct to assume the tropical punch should be mixed with water? I bought Dymatize Elite last time. It's currently $28.95 and $6.95 ship. So, it would cost about the same as this. Is one brand better than the other? Thanks.

Dymatize isn't bad, but Optimum is better. Optimum has more protein per serving i believe as well.

Optimum is seriously top quality whey protein. You can check out BodyBuilding.com and see what their top selling products are. Last time I checked, it was #1. The price is UNBEATABLE! The price may be lower at some places, but they will charge an arm and a leg for shipping.
Taste IMHO: Double Rich Chocolate, Extreme Milk Chocolate, French Vanilla Creme, and Cookies and Creme are my faves. Mix it up with either water or milk, and it taste pretty good. For some reason i think cookies and creme taste better in water IMO.
Does anyone know how the taste compares to Syntrax Nectar products?

I'm actually a fan of Delicious Strawberry.
But I would vouch for FitRx. I got in on this deal last time and they were great. I'm just not that big of a fan of any/all chocolate flavored protein powders. Maybe double rich choco is better, but the extreme milk choco isn't my favorite by any stretch of the imagination.
Optimum is great but it is the same 22gm of protein per 30 gram serving as EAS and many others. EAS is still $31.95 at Sam's Club for 5lbs but you are limited to chocolate or vanilla. I have used both over the years and have found no difference in quality or taste.

Sorry to throw a wrench in the conversation and go off topic, but this is far far far far from true. You may feel the taste is the same, but the quality is miles apart. Optimum is Whey Isolate based while the EAS is Whey Concentrate base. Huge difference if you're really looking at "quality". Take it from a guy who downs over 5lbs of this stuff per month, and has used both products. There is a HUGE difference between a high quality protein like Optimum and the garbage that the EAS brand is at Sams/Costco/BJ's in the bag.
This is a great deal.

How would you, personally, be able to tell a difference in quality?

The main difference is that EAS doesn't have lactase like ON does, and that helps A LOT when you have lactose intolerance. There's also another enzyme (Aminogen) that helps break down proteins in the ON Gold Standard. That's about the main difference in quality, other than I noticed ON mixes more easily.
Great price. I usually pay $40 for 5lbs. Extreme milk chocolate is very good. Never tried double chocolate.

Well, I'm lactose and I can attest ON Gold never gave me problems. ON, Elite and All The Whey all taste great, and now drinking ON and ATW since been getting in on the recent deals. Those are the only proteins I can mix with a spoon. Probably have 40 lbs now and had to sell another 10 lbs to my brother.
And I've tried the EAS stuff from Costco yrs ago and they are only bearable and pretty sure it gave me gas. I'm sorry but if you're a semi-smart shopper, there is no reason to buy EAS or any other low quality protein.
If you're running out this is good price on ON for emergency. If you can wait, there will be much better deals from Drugstore. Ex., keep a look out for Drugstore 30% deals on GNC products, add 20% Gold Card and another 20% for Live CB. Have done this 3 times and all 3 are in my Live acct pending.

I also bought the Dymatize $28.95 with free shipping. It was a good deal with free shipping. I typically get the EAS at Sam's Club. They are comparable. I like the taste of the Dymatize a bit better but prefer the Eas, because it is thicker, more filling and seems to refresh me more after workouts.

taste aside.... can anyone give insight to the different types being offered here. I have used the whey before (vanilla ice cream for those of you wondering, always tasty) but i am wondering what the difference between the whey and Pro complex are, or the nitro core. is the price per serving difference worth the increase of quality?
from what i can tell the twin pack deal for $66 will yield about 140 servings while the pro complex only gets you about 60 total servings for $80 (GNC says the serving size is 2 scoops with the PRO unlike 1 scoop with the whey.) and 2 orders of the nitro for $70 would give about 110 servings
someone can check my breakdown there, i'm using the product info found on the GNC site.
so the standard whey is the cheapest, but is the extra money worth the extra gain of the 'better' products?
edit: also, what is that Casein stuff? is that even protein? thanks for any help people

Whey: Absorbs fairly quickly, so it's great for right after a workout. You can add stuff to it (such as fiber, even a half-serving of Raisin Bran) to slow that absorption down.
Nitro Core: Has different proteins that absorb at different rates. Very expensive per pound. Do not be fooled by the amount of protein per serving, compared to the whey; notice that the serving is also twice the size, like you mentioned.
Pro Complex: Basically adds fiber to the protein powder to slow down absorption.
Casein: This absorbs more slowly than whey, which makes it better for most people in a way. It's more expensive per pound, though. It also does not mix well with a spoon, no matter what the manufacturer tells you. You have to choose between blending it and drinking a chunky liquid (not a horrible experience, I suppose).
If you're big into bodybuilding (which I'm not), it' worth having a variety of these to fit your needs. If you aren't, you can basically make them fit your needs somewhat. I'd say stick with the whey or casein.

Nitro Core 24 has a much better flavor in Toffee Caramel and it's spectrum is superior. Thanks for the deal OP.

I've tried a lot of protein powders and I like Optimum Whey Gold Standard the most because: 1. They don't put bad stuff in there (like aspartame, etc.) 2. Low carbohydrate and low fat 3. It really works to help me recover after a workout. (I need less this protein powder to recover compared to other ones I've tried)
Just FYI, I have no affiliation with Optimum. I'm just kind of a workout junkie.

Excellent post. IMO I think the only way to really take protein shakes are to have 1 Casein and 1 Whey and do a 50/50 mixture. Whey will break down in about 45 minutes whereas casein can conceivably take up to 8 hours (though I wouldn't count on that to carry you through the day). The only time you really don't want that mixture is prior to working out. In your pre-workout mix you want whey protein and some complex carbs to carry you through your session.
Oh yeah for those interested in buildying they're own MRP (Meal Replacement Powder), grind up Oatmeal in a coffee grinder and add it to your protein. It's a tad gritty but it gives it a great nutty flavor, is really good for you (complex carbs), and gives you a more complete meal replacement than just whey alone. I also add a little more fiber to it to slow down the absorption.
He's also right on about casein's mixability. I think the best way to get around this is to get a blender bottle. Those are easily the best shaker cups on the market. Plus if you add more water it will break down pretty easiliy . I use a casein shake before I go to bed and just shake 1 scoop up in about 10 oz. of water. It's a little thick but no clumps for me.

To add some simple sugars (to facilitate protein absorption), I add a banana or pudding in a blender, either of which thickens the mix up nicely. To slow things down, I'll blend it with a high-fiber cereal, but it invariably sinks to the bottom. I've thought about the oatmeal; is it safe to eat oatmeal raw?

Oatmeal bought from the store isn't raw, it's steam treated already, so it's perfectly fine.

Right now, I'm on chocolate and vanilla and it isnt too bad. Tried Strawberry, but to me tasted like Peptol. I use to mix it with orange juice for after workouts and mixed it with soy milk, peanut butter, honey and oatmeal for breakfast. Depends on your preference, I think it tasted better with soy milk than regular whole/2% milk.

Totally agree. My favorite flavor is plain vanilla and vanilla ice cream. I suggest adding a small amount of real sugar or blending with berries in order to encourage absorption and raise your glycemic levels immediately after working out.

I like plain vanilla to. I usually mix mine with water and cranberries or blueberries. Sometimes I use fresh berries and sometimes unsweetened berry powder (there are a bunch of good ones on google). I like the mix b/c I get my protein and my anti-oxidants and the same time. Booyah!
Just to let everyone know. I just ordered the ON 100% Whey dual pack. I also ordered some Creatine. Didn't get charged shipping at all. So you DO get free shipping on the rest of the items also! Just FYI.

C&C tastes like watered down melted ice cream and sand. I'm almost done with a 2lb tub because I'm stubborn and got it cheap. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Also the coupon is dead and the price is 80 something unless I'm missing another coupon.
