My first deal post, please be nice.

Just got the wireless string trimmer NST2018 for $90+tax after 10% mover coupon from Lowes, together with another free battery which costs $35 itself.

The review is mixed, most negative feedback is about short battery life which held me from purchasing it. Since they are giving one extra battery away for free, I would have 3 batteries which should be enough for one run. BTW, I bought it in Houston, Texas.

I have this for about 2 years. It will work if u have a small yard. Mine came with 2 batteries also and they barely last long enough for my small yard.

They are giving away 1 extra battery, so there would be 3 batteries including 2 in the box.

good luck. Those batteries take a few hours to charge too. So I always have to plan ahead to charge the batteries in order to mow and trim my lawn. I should have stay with the corded trimmer. But I gave that to my brother after I got this cordless trimmer.

You mean CORDLESS trimmer, not wireless.

That's pretty harsh. A cord is 3 wires....

I have this product and it works on my small yard (10 x 40 yards) without wearing down the first battery.

The battery takes 6-9 hours to charge initially, I assume it takes that long every time.

does it require rebate? I couldn't find the rebate form online.

THnaks,

THnaks,

home123, it's not a rebate, it's instant saving. I think it was a one week promotion, and I got it on the last day. It's quite handy, but the battery drains quickly when I use it for edging. Now I'm thinking to buy another edger, cause it's slow to edge with a trimmer. Any ideas?

12" is a pretty small trimmer (6" radius), most trimmers are in the 16-17" size.

I wouldnt recommend a battery powered trimmer for any normal yard size...only for the small yards.

me too... just got a troy built 4 stroke trimmer.. was interested in battery one but with 1/2 acre yd.. I decided not to

This would be fine with a 1/2 acre yard. My yard is just under 1/2 acres and I only use 1 battery a week.

Now this doesn't have near the power of a gas trimmer, so if you are trimming anything besides grass or weeds this isn't what you want.

It may be fine for a few months, but after the battery loses a little power it won't last....I threw mine away and bought a nice 4-stroke trimmer...It may cut your leg off, but weeds are no match

I have this... My first battery died after about 2.5 years or so... I took it apart to find the battery type and bought replacements for cheap online.
