Don't buy this drive! I had one before, was dead within one year and HP wouldn't even be able to repair it.

Nice deal, but I think the Samsung deal at the egg yesterday and ZZF today for 14 bucks more is worth it. That HP is a bit of a heifer if used with a netbook.

Heffers are never good, not even in choice for portable external optical drives.

While a heifer might be technically correct: A young female cow before she has had her first calf, I believe it's more urban to use heffer, intead.

different horses for different courses...

you don't want to be burning lots of dvds with those slim dvd burners, they are not as reliable as the full-size burners... so it's portability vs. stability.
