Verizon FiOS is currently providing total movie package (showtime, Starz, HBO, Cinemax etc) for 60 days free trail for existing customers. This may be YMMV not sure.
Last Friday when I called VZ Fios on a different issue, the CSR offered me this promo. She also said that after 60 days, the channels will get automatically disabled, but I would keep an eye on it...

yep, i had this offered to me a while ago, i never checked on it, and was charged for 2 months after the 60 day period was gone, they refunded the money, which is good, but make sure to check...
sweet...signed up for FIOS recently...and it only took a phone call to ask about this promo. the service rep did say that I would have to call back and cancel...otherwise I would be billed an extra $30/month for all movie access pass...but I'll just myself a reminder on my phone.

I was told I had to call to cancel, but that I could call any time within the 60 days, and would not lose the channels until 2 months had passed (as opposed to losing them the day I call to cancel). But at least I don't have to remember to call them right around the day the deal expires...
I just got this offer too. I live in Pittsburgh PA. They want to sell you a whole lot of other things too such as warranty for any electronic device you own, computer backup, antiviras protection for computer etc. Still no problem getting promotion even when you decline all their add ons.
Just signed up for Fios (switching from TW)and saw this post. The rep promised that once my service is installed, she'll add it, since it's for "existing customers only." Thanks, OP!
BTW, can you add an external HD to the Fios HD DVR? (Only 18 hours of HD recording? Lame, lame, lame.) The rep claimed that I definitely could, though it's not supported by their tech support, but all the forum posts I saw say that it's impossible. Yay or nay?
