Just got back from Home Depot on Howard Lane and North IH 35, Austin, Tx
They have the Weber Genesis E-310 Black LP Gas Grill listed at $519.00 (was $699.00) Model 3741001 . This is a very Hot deal for someone that wants a grill now. Again this may be extremely YMMV. Everywhere else still has this grill listed at 699.99.
Make sure you check the sign and or ask a rep to run a price check because the price tag on the wall along with the other brands is listed at $519.00 (Was 699.00), however the price tag on the display grill is listed at $649.
First time posting a deal, so please take it easy on me.

You purchased the "Spirit" Line E-310 NOT the "Genesis" Line... Home Depot ran a deal on last year's model Spirit E-310 for $199 and some were able to get their stores to price match the current year's design of the Spirit E-310, but I doubt anyone got a Genesis for $199.
BTW, I got my Spirit E-310 for $180 using a Lowes coupon so there!
Anyways, this seems like a fair deal since Webers rarely go on sale. Make sure to also use a Lowes Moving coupon to get a further $52 discount making it $467 AC.

Keep your eyes open. Last year right around this time Grocery Outlet has the Genesis E-310 for $299. Even though Weber deals are hard to come by, you can score a great deal from time to time.

Just plain retarded. Like you posted... It was a mistake. Please post when you have something constructive to add to the community. I just stopped by The Home Depot in NYC and the stainless steel version of the genesis e-310 is on sale for 660. So it may be possible it's been marked down to 519. I think even the SS version at 660 is YMMV.
Sorry, I forgot what the item number is. I purchased this grill the day before from Lowe's at $699 and when I saw the lowered price from Home Depot I went and got a price match from Lowe's. Lowe's even gave me the 10% off (lower price guarantee policy) without me even ask for it.

I look everywhere for a The Home Depot in-store weekly ad but couldn't find any then I saw a $519 price tag hanging by itself (under the grill Brands & pricing info display) and took that tag and just went to Lowe's for a price match.
Like I said, the pricing on the Brands and Pricing info displaced board is listed at $519. The price tag on floor display model is $649. So it is possible that Home Depot just marked down the price and therefore have not changed the price on the display model.
sorry, I do not have the tag, The guy at Lowe's customer service didn't give me back the tag plus I was very happy when Lowe's price match Home Depot and didn't bother to ask for the tag back.

Don't know about your post office but all the ones in the Kansas City area keep the moving packet with the Lowes coupons behind the counter and must be asked for.
They want ppl to start using the online service.
My mailman told me they want to faze them out by the end of 2009 to cut costs.

it wasn't a mistake, it was a closeout of last years model. -and it wasn't even this model. It was the lower end spirit.
I would so get this if only I could find a coupon for another $250 off...
Has anybody else been able to locate this deal? I missed out on the Spirit deal, but wouldn't mind paying a little more for the Genesis. OP do you have the SKU or can you stop by The Home Depot again to see if they put the price tag back up? Thanks.

No go in Atlanta at the Midtown one. Still marked $699. Had a chance to look at all the webers and compared them with all the other brands. Weber was hands down better in quality than all of them together. Now all I need to do is get my hands on a Genesis for $500.
I noticed that Weber grills are much, much more expensive than other, similar looking grills like Brinkmann. Why? Is it just the quality/warranty thing, or is there something else that sets them apart from the rest?
My old grill rusted all over, so I need one ASAP (can't live without burgers and steak).
I have had my Genesis Silver B for 8 years and it's still going strong. No rust, no quirks, lights on the first push every time. Weber is my favorite BBQ manufacturer by far...It's a sound investment for sure.

And I got it for free (a generous stranger gave it to me). Your deal isn't even close to hot. I'm sure there is someone who got paid for just taking this one. So let's keep our useless comments to ourselves.

These are too expensive, even for $300...
Why does Weber insist on putting the controls on the shelf using up all the space? I would never buy one.
You have to pay over a thousand dollars before they put the controls on the front like God intended them to be (IE the Weber Summit series)
If you are worried about your kids messing with the grill, just turn off the LP tank.. I always turn it off anyways, when I'm done grilling...
Weber is just dumb and I wish they would get a clue and get with the program.
