Thank you Butcher. My brother-in-law and I are building some big projects this summer. You saved the day!!

NOOOOOOOOOO, I just went looking at some of these and for this price, I might have to nab it. My fiancee is going to kill me....too bad there's no additional discount for Craftsman Club members!

Thanks a lot, OP.

Anyone have this product? sturdy?

Hmm... I got the 7.25" slider a couple of months back. I wonder if this is a worthy upgrade?
Anyway, green for OP.

When I put my Craftsman Club number in my profile, it shows a pre-tax price of $142. Then I proceed to checkout, the discount turns into an extra charge bringing the total price up to $199.49.

Has anyone gotten the Craftsman Club discount to work?

I never could get the Craftsman Club to work online so I purchased without, picked up at the store then asked for a price adjustment at the tool dept. The register wouldn't take it there either so the guy did a return/repurchase with a manual price override and I was out the door for $146.

Sweet. I can only get it down to $189.00....I signed up for the Craftsman club but waiting for my member number.
I am torn between the 7.25" and the 10". Already have a DeWalt 12" non slider.

I signed up for the Craftsman Club a while back when trying to get a good deal on a planer. It took them over a week to send my card and I ended up missing the deal. I even tried calling customer service after signing up and they couldn't give me a temp number. They said I had to wait for the card in the mail.

Decided on the 7 1/4" sliding miter saw @ $130.00 after discounts.
Got to finish the trim and crown molding remodel. My 12" DeWalt is great but just a little hard to get those razor sharp compound miters in the right place.

First thing I did was buy a real blade, a 60 tooth Diablo no flutter finish blade.
If that can't make the saw accurate then nothing will.
Have not unpacked it yet, but after reading all the info I think I can tweak it if it's lacking accuracy.
I have a newish Craftsman table saw which is challenged. It burns everything. Its poorly designed and made, there is no accurate parallel adjustment, so its Craigslist for that bad boy.

Anyone get the $99 GEM brand 10 inch slider advertised at Sears??
