muoot said: 2.Here at Microcenter B&M (B&M to save shipping) for $30, no rebates (Class 6). Well, did not check others, but at least this one from Microcenter is FULL size SD, not microSD. Fu1l size 16GB SD for $30 is no surprise, but OP posted microSD - completely different story.
Sorry all I could find was this review of a Kingston 16GB microSD being tested against other brands but not other 16GB cards. Dane-Elec was one of the other brands.

I had a Dane-Elec SD card several years ago... never had an issue with it. so in my own personal experience, I think they are ok as I did have a popular name brand card fail on me once.

How does a class 4 card rank with others? Would this be considered fast? Midrange? Slow?
Just got mine today, and the packaging clearly says class 4, but the card itself says class 2. Anyone else had this issue? I haven't talked with J&R about it, but I probably will later and see what they say.

I received mine also. Mine says the same thing. It has class 4 all over the packaging but the MicroSDHC itself has a 2. But mine transfers at 4.3MB/s. Class 4 is 4MB/s. I'm not sure what i'm going to do. My Sandisk MicroSDHC transfers at 4.32MB/s and it's a class 2. I think class 4 should write at 7-8MB/s. I have discussed this is SD. One guy talked to J&R about it. They sent him a prepaid postage packaging to return the item for a refund. But I think this is still a great price for 16gb MicroSDHC even though its a Class 2. What you think?

I received mine and it also said class 2 on the actual card. The package clearly state class 4. I don't know what to do. Return or keep? :X

I think I'm going to keep mine. I've tested it a bit and so have some others, and it seems to perform at a class 4 level. I'm a bit disappointed, but it is still a decent deal and I need one.
Have anyone reformat it with Panasonic SDcard formatter to compare the read/write speed again.

When I tried to check out with "Google Checkout", I didn't see anything about 5$ rebate from Google Checkout although it is the first time I am trying to use it.
Is there any special link I have to follow through to get it?
A second thing is that it says "out of stock" and still allows me to checkout, should I go J&R and buy it?
At present the listing shows a class 2 card which is fast enough for my Sansa mp3 player.
Unfortunately it also says OOS

This just appeared: Dane-Elec 16GB microSDHC Memory Card w/ SD Adapter $29.99 shipped at Amazon Still pricey.. If it hits $19.99 I'll grab it or not it's seems to be a Class 2 (2mbps) eek!
Is there any difference in speed between microsd and sd for a given class? In other words, is there any disadvantage to using microsd in an sd slot (with an adapter)?

If you buy two of them and pay using Discover card you get $10 off credit and the price goes to $25 per card.
