I briefly tuned in to the "bingathon" on Hulu last night and heard something about a 24 hour extra CashBack from Sears. I looked on the bing CashBack list and there was no mention of anything special. However, I did a search for "ice cream maker" clicked on the Cuisinart and then on the Sears link and the window popped up showing 12%

One thing I'm not sure about is how the disclaimer below would affect the CashBack since at Sears almost everything is "on sale" or discounted at Sears at any given time.

"Important legal stuff: You can earn up to $2,500 CashBack each year! To earn your CashBack, merchants will provide us (Microsoft) details about your purchase, and you will need to provide us with personal information (like your email address above) to create a Bing CashBack account. This information is subject to the Microsoft Online Privacy Statement. CashBack is available only for personal purchases made during your store visit directly from the Bing site. A waiting period (of up to 60 days) and $5 minimum applies to payouts. You cannot use coupons or discounts, or earn CashBack for buying gift cards/certificates. For complete terms, please click here."

I wonder if that 12% will open up any really good deals.

It's too bad that I can't use that on any outlet items. I got an Olympus 850SW for $78, open box item. I will use it at the beach and for cruise.

Brings the 42" Panasonic Plasma down to $528.00

its showing 2-8% for Sears now.

Did you notice the word "hidden" in the title?

On Bing's twitter, it says 15%, but I can't confirm it b/c Sears.com doesn't alert you to what you're expected to get as CB

I assume that if you play around with different searches you can probably find one that will get you the 15%

The ice cream maker one got me 12%. If I was in the market for something from Sears I would play around with it for a bit, but currently I'm not.

Searched a bunch of terms nothing is giving more than 12%. Also its not saying a % like it usually does on the term specific hits so i'm thinking everything is doing 12% for Sears. If someone finds how to get 15% it would be appreciated.

I did notice the word "hidden". Does that mean you have to dig it up because it is hidden? The follow exact same steps as OP and I posted what I see.

I followed his steps and got the 12%. Perhaps clear your cookies etc. Dunno why its not showing for you.

Don't you mean it Bings the Plasma price down to $528? I got a million of them!

"Bing" will never become a verb like google has. Consider:

"I googled my new girlfriend and found out that she's a felon"
"I binged my new girlfriend and found out that she's a felon"

"The head of HR insists on googling all potential hires"
"The head of HR insists on binging all potential hires"

You seem to be making the case for binging. Its all about getting used to it. You would have felt the same for Googling in pre-Google world.

cool !

Can you give the exact search to get the panny? Or (am I stupid) you just do the ice cream maker and then click over to the panny? got it.

12% works for "appliances", too. Already at 15% off. This beats the best Memorial Day appliance deal by 2%.

Don't think you'll get a non-Kenmore brand at 27% off list at Sears unless it's a closeout or scratch-n-dent deal in-store.

I do not mean to rain on anyone's parade, but as a fellow FWer I feel obligated. Bings, aka LiveSearch, is nothing less than a gamble. One can follow the exact steps and even gets the CashBack to show on the account as pending and would never get it at the end. That is how Microsoft works. I wish it was more like Google, straight forward and certain discount for people to use or not to use for that matter. Instead, Microsoft has this Bings, which by all mean is a gamble and when it is time for you to dispute, guess who the judge is! Microsoft. Yes, you can dispute that you did everything correctly and even have the print out showing the pending CashBack after you buy and Microsoft can still say NO, it does not have record of you buying in its system. What then? It is like being in a court where the judge is against you and his decision is final; no matter how unfair it is. It happened to me. I purchased over $1000 worth of computer & accessories etc for a 20% LiveCash back. I follow every steps of the way and did everything right including a screenshot of the pending CashBack, even used IE to make my purchase to make sure MS does not target Firefox users and yet MS came back and denied the CashBack saying that it does not have record of my purchase on its system. How was I going to argue that? A Microsoft employee says so and it is so. After that, I would never go back to livecash no matter how many large the CashBack % is. For those who decide to go with bings, be careful and be prepared to go against MS if you are denied. Good lucks!
