Thanks OP... Can I use this card for my paid wireless internet access for my laptop from ATT? The USB stick from them does not work well, thanks in advance.

if you have a att or tmo sim with data it should work.

From a limited google search and only 10 lifetime ratings at resellerratings.com (6/10 overall) it looks more than likely you'll run into a headache with this company. Poor customer service, late shipments, unshipped items, wrong items shipped, etc.
My advice...stay away!

Can anyone confirm that's possible??? Anyone ever try?ATT Iphone tethering plan will be $30+40=$70 for unknown amount of data so it might work if you don't watch Hulu all day.

No one said anything about tethering. If we were interested in tethering, we'd wait for that option to become available on our phones and not need to purchase this piece.
The question is: Would we be able to take the sim card from our 3G iPhones and have 3g access with our exisiting basic unlimited 3G data plan?
Am using one that i bought for $10 bucks more from 1saleaday on my blackberry plan sim. Just make sure you edit the connect strings before you use it so it stays on wap and not the isp..

Its not magically going to work. You need a connection software. I don't have an iPhone but do have ATT's 3G service. $60 for 5GB data using a USB modem. You run the risk of them charging you per kb or so you better read up elsewhere before tryin.

You run the risk of them charging you per kb or so you better read up elsewhere before tryin. That's only if you pay for the broadband card package. If you have a regular "unlimited data" package for your phone then there won't be any overcharge. It's pretty ridiculous that they cap you at $60/month to begin with. You can tether your smart/iphone/blackberry to your computer and get unlimited data as well.
Well like 18 months ago I tried a Sierra Wireless 875 with an iPhone simcard and it didn't work, I did the same with a BlackBerry simcard (BB plan) from AT&T and it worked, same Laptop, same wireless card, same software, so YMMV.

For those that can, you'd have better luck getting unlimited data from your phone "converted" to your computer with tethering programs such as PDANet. Advantages of those programs over standard tethering is that they many times can bust through whatever security the provider has put into the phone to prevent you from tethering without a seperate tethering plan. Been using PDAnet for both my Moto Q and XV6900 and so far never been charged a tethering fee, it just appears on the bill that I somehow burned through 10GB's/month on a phone.

You need to make these changes in AT&T connection manager (or preferably the Option GlobeTrotter Connect software) http://www.option.com/en/support/software-download/wireless-data-cards/globetrotter-gt-max-7-2-ready-e/
Create New Profile: Connection name: AT&T Internet or whatever you like Access Point Name: wap.cingular Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM Password: CINGULAR1
Works great with my 3Gs SIM

Thanks a Lot. I was able to connect using the software downloaded from the url above (i didn't had option to create a profile though. I didn't had to use the att software that gets installed when you connect the card. Also i had to spend another 15$ bucks for the usb dongle for this from Amazon. The sim card i have is iphone 3g.
