"Free Call of Duty-World at war w/ purchase, limited offer"
Not too shabby at all.

Very well made card. Not the cut down version of the 9600GSO. Would go perfectly with my eVGA for a little SLI action but no free ship kills the deal for me. Also not a fan of this (HS)Fan.
If you can use them get two at $51.99 + $4.48 S/H - $20 = $36.47 shipped AR each. Takes the bite out of no free ship.
Edit: Have them in my cart and the cards show as $2.00 each, and the "free" game shows at $49.99 each. Wonder if that would cause problems with the rebates? (Card cost less than rebate.)
Hm... page 1 of the rebate says: "2. Only two rebates per qualifying product per household per promotion will be accepted. "
Then page 2 says: "Limit one rebate per qualifying rebate offer per person, billing address, company, household and receipt/invoice/packing slip during eligibility period, except where prohibited by law. Only one rebate application per envelope."
I wonder which is accurate? I might get 2 of these.

Sorry but my eVGA was made better. It has the same (# of phases) power and more caps.

probably not, I think it wanted at least a 400w PSU for the last 8600gts I bought. Since it's slower than the card in this deal I'd suspect the power requirements only went up.

I wonder which is accurate? I might get 2 of these. They're both correct, but the wording is confusing. You have to presubmit online. In the process you can add as many products from the offer as you have bought, and also indicate the quantity of each. Actually a pretty decent process, but ease of payment is yet to be seen.
So, the "one rebate" is the overall submission on which you can claim rebates for multiple products. Once you submit that one rebate you can't come back later and submit a second time for the same offer, even if it's for a product you did not buy on your first submission. That's my interpretation at least.
If you go through Bing CB, they count the full price of both the card and the software in computing CB. So I got $5.10 back on two cards. Not sure if it will work that way with FWCB.

Thanks for the input.

Argh...I didn't realize that bing has a better Cash Back than FW for Newegg. btw...I did the FW Cash Back and FW does count the full price of both the card and the software as well. Initially I thought that Newegg overcharged me for the purchase because I see a much high price due to them counting FWCB.

Hmm, this is a very good deal but going to have to pass (I'm looking for a lower powered - higher performing card) I have only a 300-350 watt psu in my computer and it runs my 8600gt just fine, it just depends if the PS can reliably deliver enough power on the +12V rail. This seems to take ~25% more power than an 8600gt.

btw...one thing I forgot to mention is that the 9600gso has hardware support for decoding H.264 video, so previously I'm using 50% cpu when viewing a 1080p mkv file (Using e5200 o/c to 3.5 ghz), and after installing the 9600gso, I'm using only about 25% cpu, a great improvement. I don't know if 8600 has this support...

Well it actually uses more like 100% more power, 8600gt (40-50w) 8800gs/9600gso (80-90w). That being said, you more than likely can get away with this card depending on your current system. (Unless you have a P4, Athlon FX, or early model quad core)
75w CPU 85w 9600gso 30w chipset 5w ram 15w HD 20w DVD/Fans/misc
Total 230w maximum theoretical usage. It would probably be well under 200w. Less than 150 on the 12v (12.5A) If you PSU says 18a on the 12v you'll be more than fine.
So 230/300 = 75% usage
If you're more than worried, get a 4680, 4770, 9600gt, Energy Efficient 9800gt.
