some people buy enermax because certain models of their power supplies are super-quiet... we all have different priorities. i'd hate to see antec stop producing that signature power supply, but i think that they have a real winner in the cp-850, it has the potential to be one of the quietest and most bulletproof power supplies on the market: "The Good: outperformed my SG-850 for ripple suppression very quiet, even in the hot box exceptionally stable voltage regulation did better efficiency than 80 Plus' sample and cleared Bronze waaaaaaaaay overbuilt The Bad: proprietary to three Antec cases... all others must be modded (if there's room) The Mediocre: it's huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge and tried to run me over" http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&rei... |

Sychev22 said:Apparently Amazon no longer does price adjustments. I am on the phone with the supervisor right now and the only option he could think of was for me to re-order this item, then return the second delivered PSU as the first one (they are the same) for a refund of the higher price. Kinda counter-intuitive since they end up eating the cost of shipping twice, but hey, if it works... Beware that this is a sure fire way of being blacklisted by Am@zon. Lots of posts about this around here so I wont get into it, but it's something that's probably not worth it if you do a lot of shopping there. |

osv1 said:my personal opinion is that it's fully ignorant to threadcrap on enermax, but whatever, lol this topic isn't about an enermax brand anyway. one of it's poorer models were used as a comparison and i refuted it. the end. let this topic die already. deal's long dead. |
