Most times, that qualifies you for the "new customer" offers. |

Wasn't a Comcast subscriber before. Just online chatting with a Comcast sales rep and got 12 months of $19.99 12Mbps internet; there's one-time installation fee of $25 and $3/month modem lease, tax excludes. Currently on AT&t $30 DSL pro 3Mbps. Cannot wait to experience cable modem internet. Thanks for the tip, OP. |

As an existing customer, I pay almost $60 a month for their basic high speed Internet service (since I have to pay $13 for cable I don't use at all) and even after escalating that's the best price they'd do. I was on some promotion when I first joined too, but after the promotion expired they refused to give me ANY discount (not even $1) and their rules are if you want to leave and come back to get a new promotion you have to be away for 120 days. Since DSL or FIOS is not available in my area and satellite is extremely expensive for even slower, I'm stuck. So a good deal if you can get it.. and keep it! |

ItsJustDon said:If I stream a lot of Hulu, Slingbox, Joost etc. how does that affect the cap? Is streaming considered downloading? Absolutely ! Hulu streams at 700kbps which equals 300 megabytes an hour I have been watching the free movies at Sony's Crackle.com lately and I am betting in the HD mode I am using 2 to 3 times the bandwidth of Hulu. If you want to replace your cable with just internet and online viewing you need to think carefully. I am waiting for Comcast to consider my online TV viewing abuse of bandwidth. |

So a good deal if you can get it.. and keep it! if you have another household member, just do what bozo007 suggested. you'll likely get a promotional or much lower rate. after being with comcast for many years paying less than $30/m but recently being told by many csr in loyalty dept. that the best deal they can offer was $48/m, i went to comcast on line a couple of months ago and got $19/m for 6 mos via live chat using another household member's name & phone #. |

Does comcast have rollover bandwith lol. This will be my first time using comcast. Have been with ATT DSL forever. I'm here in the Bay Area, and got in on this deal. $19.99 for 12 months NO CONTRACT, WAIVED install fee +$3 modem rental I was currently paying +$35 for att DSL elite 6mbps. We'll see how I like it. The stupid cap is the only thing that worries me. |

Yea if you are in the Bay Area, there is a guy on the "other" site that works at comcast who will set it up. |

I'm a Comcast Rep in the Bay Area. If you guys live in the Bay and want this offer (Internet $19.99/mo for 12 months) I can waive the installation for you. PM me! |

Thanks so much. I was looking for better internet service since my home owners connection is really slow. I tried to call the 1800-Comcast line but got the local office in Palm Beach Florida. After talking to her for 15mins she suggested that I try online. The only offer they had was for 6 months So I got online and started chatting with the rep who transferred me to sales. After going back and forth for 15 mins he processed my order and the installer will show up at my house on Wednesday!!!!. So those of you that have 15 mins to spare try the online chat...they seem to be making concessions for new customers |

I have had Comcast to my house ALOT to fix my cable or internet and never have been charged. I would pay a dollar though because I do have to call them alot and I would hate to pay 20 bucks each time. |

Just had my internet installed. The cable guy forgot to put the filter for the cable tv. Now I pay $19.99/month for both tv + internet for a year. Thanks again, OP! |
