I do not see it on Amazon... At Staples, it can be got for $50 or so under the advertised price. With dollar of coupons and combined with 1 or 2 printers with offers and of course based on reselling those. Free HP printer AR and other HP rebates will expire on Jun. 27th. Wish new rebates will come out that time. The Staples dollar coupons usually don't qualify for computer, but no harm to try. I was lucky to use $30 coupon for a HP netbook last week. |

With both printers the $25 or $30 will work with 2 ptinters bought with a pc. |

I've heard many people comment about it, but I personally think that no one should waste their money on a new laptop if it's not dual-core. I've seen dual-core laptops $400 and below MANY times on front page deals, sometimes even as low as $350-360. It's definitely worth forking over the extra cash for that, in this day and age. |

So what is the "million times more" someone can do with a single Pentium 3 vs a quad core processor? |

I have a 4 year old AMD processor of the same family. It runs Windows 7( Microsoft's latest Operating system) and Ubuntu 9.10 perfectly fine and fast. Processing power is no issue, the only issue I have is lesser RAM (512MB). I assume this system will have no issues from AMD processor standpoint. |

Exactly this has the half the processor of a BUDGET $450 Compaq laptop I bought 2 years ago, bad deal As if that would make any diff to most people, and if it did, why would they need it if they were not smart enough to know a budget pc will not do what they want it to. Unbelievable the thinking here.

I heard that the Acer would only be available in SOME Staples stores, NOT ALL Staples stores. Might make sense to check out their online circular (www.staples.com/weeklyad) to see if the laptop is available in your loaction. I think the online circular site posts the Sunday circular the Friday before, so the Sunday, 7/5 ad would be view-able on Friday, July 3rd. This is a great deal! Good luck! |

This is a great deal! Good luck! Online it has always been posted around noon pacific time Thursday. And, yes, be sure you are looking at the ad for your zip code. However, I have been able to get my local to sell for anothers price (if lower) by showing a printout. |
