Man, I'm still on the fence for this one... there are two issues here: US Appliance vs. Amazon ($150 difference, but I would get rewards points on my Amazon visa equaling $50 so it would be around $100) and then this model vs. the V10. I was all about the G10 but read some people see excessive flicker with 24p (since it only supports 48hz and 60hz, whereas the V10 series supports 96hz and 100% pure 24p playback). Can anyone provide any additional insight on the 24p issue? Also, I plan on selling the bluray player since I already have a PS3, so this TV instantly becomes a steal at $1048 from US Appliance or ~$1150 from Amazon (w/ my points). Seems like the extra features of the V10 series aren't worth $400-600 (depending on where you can get it), but I'm hoping 24p is at least bearable... |

Now showing out of stock and TC-P50G15 coming soon. Doesn't look like they will be getting any additional stock of the G10. |

Since the TV's out of stock I gave their CS a call to see how up to date their inventory tracking was... Wow one of their CSR's was a dbag. After I explained my concern he blurted out "we won't know until we manually process your order. My next thought was, if orders are processed manually then is their inventory based on processed orders or some other tracker? I didn't get an answer other than "we can't say for sure until we process your order. I'm already wondering if I should have gone W/ Amazon... |

You're comparing a probably several years old plasma to the latest and greatest LCD technolody...obviously a flawed comparison. Heat and power usage is down significantly, burn in is not an issue anymore, and plamsas are generally much better than they used to be. I'd buy a plasma over any LCD in a heartbeat.

think the blu-ray coupon will work with the buydig deal? Update - someone over on the SD forums called the rebate center and said the rebate will work with buydig.com. Basically they said it will work if you buy it from an online retailer as long as it's not eBay. Here's what an order from buydig would look like: $1,199.00 - Panasonic TC-P50G10 (TV) $194.95 - Panasonic DMP-BD60K (Blu-Ray) $0.00 - GGI HDTV High performance Hook-Up & Maintenance Kit ($149 value) ($41.82)- 3% FW CashBack ($200.00)- MIR _________________________ $1,152.13 - After Rebate and FW CashBack. Compared to $1248.00 after rebate from US-Appliance... hmm, do I cancel? |

My main concern is that the rebate has to be dated by tomorrow at the latest. According to buydig.com's customer service information posted on their website, they are closed all day tomorrow. Also, some people over at SD are having luck getting US-Appliance to PM buydig. That might be the safer thing to do rather than risk the $200 rebate. |

buydig will not accept any return for TV even if the TV is defective, regardless whether it's due to shipping or manufacturer defect. This is one of the main concerns that I have w/ buydig. Has anyone have any experience with them regarding buying a big ticket item? |

Damn, I was so bummed out today when I called US Appliance and the sales guy told me the TC-P50G10 was out and he was given specific directions not to take any more orders. When I got home I refreshed this page and WOW big UP's to the OP who told everyone about the deal on buydig. So at about 11:59:46pm PT I finalized my order with buydig. It came out exactly like steveo2626. Although I am a bit worried that the $200 rebate isnt listed on the website and I hope that my invoice will show 6/27/09 and not on the day it gets processed. Also, anyone here believe HDTV hook up kit is worth $149? Just out of curiosity how much do you think its really worth? ...I hope I dont get screwed on this deal. |

You would probably get $20 for it on eBay, and that's stretching it. You can buy HDMI and component cables pretty cheap online. Makes the deal a little hotter i guess, but only slightly. I still haven't decided whether or not I want to cancel my US-Appliance order and place one with buydig. I know I will qualify for the rebate with my current order and would be gambling trying to switch now. Wish it weren't the weekend so that I could call these places and figure it out. |

Does your online order receipt show 6/27? Can anyone verify who ordered today 6/27 that their receipt shows 6/27? I don't see why the purchase would be "by process date" and not by "date purchased". That being said, I went ahead and purchased one from buydig in case US-Appliance doesn't pricematch... will cancel one of them Monday. |

us-appliance requires you to cancel within 48 hours: US Appliance Return Policy Orders can be canceled within 48 hours of placing the order without any fee. Any orders canceled after that time could be subject to a 15% restocking fee. To cancel an order, call us at 1-248-364-0700. For buydig, you probably need to call them early as they ship pretty fast, and I am pretty sure you cannot cancel it after it is shipped. So, plan carefully.
