RIP. MJ is the greatest of all. I am now 48 years old. I saw his album Thriller in 1985 in India. |

WhiteBoi said:His stage charisma is second to none even though he hasn't sang live for many many years. Check out the girl at 2:24. I watch this Billie Jean performance many times for the funky bass beat and MJ's live performance. NICE !!

He was a talented artist. He happen to come in the early 80s at a time that my generation was starting to find its own identity. He was the first big artist to have MTV, so besides the radio for his music, we were able to see his very theatrical videos showing his equal talent for dance. People in the early 80s copied his dance (moon walk, robot) and dress (leather jackets with zippers all over) similar to Madonna for the girls. Similar to Elvis, the beatles, the bee gees. The 80s was his time to control the pop music market for that generation. However, as the demi Gods before, he fell hard. His music brings back fond memories in my life of a good time in my past when his music was playing in the background.... That doesn't mean I approve of what he did in the present, just have to give him his props & respect for the part his music played in my youth & my memories. + give us a break, Ed McMahon died and I remember watching him while growing up, but he was from my parents generation. I drooled over Farrah and she was my first big crush when I was 12. I'm 45 and Michael Jackson hit big when I was 18 hitting bars and clubs for the first time. So he was the first big star who had an impact on my life who has died, thus showing me my own mortality. |

OK,I know I'm old but I remember when I was in college and the Jackson 5 signed with Motown. I enjoyed their music then and later Michael's music through the Thriller stage. IMO, he and Mick Jagger's dancing talents are unsurpassed. But I watched a replay of the Ed Bradley interview with Michael and found it quite disturbing. The fact that Michael thought it was OK for a middle aged man to share the same bed with children just doesn't seem right. Great talent but I'm afraid his compass was a little off........ |

Yeah the single album, that is the one with all the hits, great buy. I just want to know if he is going to have his head cryogenically frozen like he was always talking about?

One of the highly misunderstood geniuses, may his soul be free from torment and rest in peace, at least now! I second this..... I loved MJ and will love him.....He was my childhood hero.... I wish he lived another 20 years.... |

RIP MJ but seriously, I think its disgusting how Amazon is riding on his death to make a few bucks. If Amazon really wants to support MJ, the money should either be going to a good cause or the CD/songs should be free for everyone. Making a buck off his death is insulting and I will NOT buy. |

I think most people are giving this green because the artist just died, not because the price is really that hot IMO. |
