I like this deal and the tv. 720p is sufficient imho for a 50" plasma. It's the 60" and up that needs the 1080p. However, the lack of a pc-input is a let down for me. I've been enjoying my trusty old 50" vizio for the last 2 years. Connected via the pc input to a duo-pentium vista pc, i have tv on demand 24 hours with over 100+ hours of hdtv recording of house, 24 hours, csi, lost, bones, you name it, i've got it on the tellie. For some odd reason the plasma tv's hdmi connection doesn't work for the pc. My regular dlp tv works fine with the hdmi-->PC Connection. Very odd. |

On the other hand, Samsung was closing out their 720p 50" plasma couple of months ago. That was a better deal for those of you who got it. It's got better picture, pc-input, and the price were as low as %699 at one point in time. But alas, clearance sale does end, that's why they're called clearance sales. This panny deal is probably the best one can find at the moment. |

Altitude limit kills the deal. "Altitude not to exceed: 8,400 feet/2,560 meters". My TV stand is 8,402 feet. |

I decided to buy this TV yesterday afternoon and used the Bing CashBack. It showed up in my account this morning in the amount of $64.80...so it worked for me. This was a good deal...thanks! |

My results for Craftsman are all showing up as 2% on Bing. Am I doing something wrong? |

Are you saying you tried it and it doesn't work so you had to return it? You do know that a $5 adaptor converts DVI=>HDMI right. HDMI is just DVI with coax LPCM audio and HDCP; DVI can also carry HDCP (copy protection). Or a $30 video card that supports HDMI one way or another. |

frenchylarue said:Tried to recreate this--when you link to the Sears site, there is an indication regarding "Tools" at the top. Looks like no TV discount. Also searched for Panasonic on Bing, this model doesn't show up for Sears.
Looks like not a killer deal. Update--the Bing Cash Back did indeed show up this morning, after not seeing anything yesterday. Soooo, I'd say hot deal. $810-$64.80-$20 discover? (5% with a cap?), plus CA tax (they need it). |

Sears Card is also running a 5% rebate promotion. http://content.Sears.com/ue/elec/12Months_MIR.pdf If you opt for a Sears Gift card as payment, you get a bonus of 10% of the rebate amount. So on a $1000 purchase, you would get $50 (5%) + an extra $5 (10% bonus). At first I thought it meant 10% o the purchase price, but that sounded too good to be true so I called the rebate center for clarification. |

It could be it's hdmi is generation one stuff and doesn't work with radeon 3650 with hdmi or something else. Either way when i connected it to the hdmi on my pc i get overscanned image and the pc desktop extended beyond the vizio's screen. There was no way to correct it. The pc input worked without issue so i have no complains. The JVC 61" dlp on my other room worked perfect with the hdmi from pc. So go figure. |

I don't understand how it is a let down then if you have HDMI with your Radeon and this set has HDMI, no need for PC input anymore. Seems that with people saying it works no problem with their HDMI, it would be a good thing for you. I personally have my HTPC 9400 Nvidia hooked up to a Panny 46" last gen with HDMI from my Onkyo receiver with the HTPC going into the receiver for full 7.1 HD sound via Blu-ray and HD-DVD. With the Nvidia 9400, my CPU load is at 15% full bitrate. Works flawlessly since last year so I see no problems with this newer generation as well. I have a PC input in mine, but run it strictly HDMI. |

I just opened a bing account using my existing MS Live and bought the TV through Sears. Is there a way to check rightaway whether bing has recorded my click-thru to Sears or should I just wait for a few days for the 8% to show up ? |
