2nd, the menu is long but finally was able to go to the "Free Call" menu
3rd, I don't think you can dial a number becuase the system ask for the city or state then the business name, if the system can not find the business name and phone number then you can not call that.

EDIT: That is an honest question. I really don't see any point in having one anymore?\
number of reasons: 1) convinience of having a handset in every room of large house, combined with extra conviniense of what multi-handset phones provide, like intercom and room monitor. 2)Having young kids or old people who have trouble to operate cell. phone 3)cheap voip service offering unlimited calls to anywhere in US/CANADA/EUROPE etc like boroadvoice.com not restricted by xxx minute plan or international plan 4)reliable service where cell phone coverage is weak and providing a backup for the cell coverage interruptions. 5)reduced amount of microwave radiation and heat from cellphone compared to land line experienced during long calls. ... Did I name them all?
You people still have landlines? Why? EDIT: That is an honest question. I really don't see any point in having one anymore? quality of sound and intercom. at my apartment I only use cell phone but at the house I much prefer making calls on landline if they are important. Much clearer sound than my crappy Nextel phone (only service that we get here).
I called them and choose "Free call" option and then sys said u can make free call for 5 min.. But how to dial it? If I dial international no. frm at&t, they will charge me hell pf money....

any suggestions?? You're dialing from the 800 #, so it won't cost you anything. Just like if you use 1800goog411 to find a business # and it connects you.

First it took my 4 tries before I can connect.

So where is the free call in that?
I just tried it, all you have to do is dial 1800free411, listen to the ad, say "free call" right away, then listen to another 20 second ad, and it prompts you to dial a number
connected right away for me, i tried 3 countries and it worked to 2 of them. so, your 3rd question is not applicable, it DOES let you dial a number.
also, you can use a cell phone...you dont need to use a landline. international calling on a cell is pretty expensive, so this is a good deal for cells too.
