Are you sure the model number is TC-P42X14? Can't seem to find it on Panasonic's site or Costco.

Yes! I just see at store in Seattle today. There is also 50" Panasonic TC-P50S14 1080p $1299.99 with PC input as well.

the 4 on the end usually indicates it is a model made specifically for either Sams Club or Costco and you cant find it on their website because the model is TC-42PX14. Panny website link

...seem costco and Amazon keeps running behind other retailers...I already got 2 TVs this months from Sears, 42" and 50".

BTW, instead of the 50S14, people can just get 50S1 + Blu-ray player from Amazon for ~$1256.

The Sears and BestBuy X1 and S1 do not come with PC input.

Yes, that's correct but it comes w/ 3 HDMI instead which I prefer. Actually, this is one of the reason I skip costco.

I think you are mistaken. The TC-42PX14 at Costco is $1099 (Linky)

So what model is this?

TC-42PX14 is the correct model as I remember. Your link is for the Costco in Canada.

I saw it this weekend in Costco BM was $599.99 as Speedy777 posted.
I bought one last week at Sears for around $560, beautiful TV - excellent price.

The in-store price of 599 for tc42px14 is confirmed. In addition to the differences noted above between this set and the one at Sears/Amazon, the one at Costco has a contrast ratio of 15000:1 (the Sears/Amazon ones have a contrast ratio of 30000:1).

Costco San Diego has this model for $599.

A couple of weeks ago I went with the Sears sans the PC Connection but 3 HDMI and was out the door for under $600. Used the 4% FatCash and late night 5% discount @ Sears.com. Love the set, the pic is great. My son-in-law the HDTV geek did the settings and it is GREAT!
Of course, with 1080p Pannys coming out and dropping in price, the 720ps will continue to drop so gamble on even more discount if you want, but this is a great TV with a great pic.

I got the X1 from Sears and I use HDMI for my pc and my laptop. I thought VGA is old news like DVI was back in the day. HDMI works so well and its so clear.

1080p is the deal. I won't waste $ on the 720p stuff.

you haven't researched enough facts between 720p and 1080p. What your friends and relatives say isn't always 100% right...
