That's why I only go to the $1.00 theatre. Sure, the movies are older and about to be out on DVD (if not already) but hey, I can't afford the high-priced tickets. I also eat at home beforehand so I'm not nearly as tempted to buy the $100.00 popcorn & drink (only a slight exaggeration) |

outlawnyc said:$12.50 in manhattan -- some places $13 + Wow, I thought $10.50 was bad. At your prices, might as well get 13 $1 bills and enjoy a live show at the gentleman's club. j/k |

Even the crappiest small towns dont have $5 movie tickets on first run movies. Cinemark has tix for $4 bucks in KC (matinee). |

Costco had a AMC deal a couple months ago where they threw in a large drink coupon when you buy the 2 ticket-combo. Would be nice to see this in the future =) Also AMC moviewatcher card allows you to earn points even when you redeem those costco movie certs. And, as another poster indicated, moviewatcher cardholders receive free popcorn on Wednesdays. |

Fandango has a 2 for 1 deal right now with Visa Signature. Search on the forums. |

Cost of moving to Missouri negates the cheap movie price. At $12 a pop for me this deal is almost (notice I said almost) 2 for 1. If you have an actual deal that makes AMC tickets $5 please share, happening to live in an area with low COL is not a hot deal. |

Night51501 said:our iMAX in Iowa is $15.50! if they have this special nationwide I'm sure the prices are adjusted accordingly. Are you in Des Moines? Wynnsong in Johnston is 6 bucks all day on Tuesday. Plus dollar popcorn and dollar drinks. We'll be heading there tomorrow night. Not that I already didn't spend 20 bucks to see Transformers 2 (Nachos & pop too)....but will be going back again at the cheaper rate! |

Hit their online ticketing to see what you can get in your area. |

we have $5 maintee over in Atlanta at the .. I think it's called Fork and Screen now. (AMC) pretty sweet. you can order dinner and they'll bring it to you. Food prices aren't outrageous either. Quite frankly soon as I return from Canada I'll be heading over there. |

Just saw Transformers 2 at a matinee this last weekend for $3.50 a ticket at Starplex. I'm never going to an evening showing again. Most places around here range from $7 - $9.50 for prime time shows. |

You think NYC is expensive? I just got back from Tokyo, it's $18/ticket there. Now that's expensive! |

You can often find the "AMC Gold" tickets on eBay for this price or less. There's also no sales tax in many eBay transactions, and you can use Bing CashBack for 8%+ off. I've still got a stack of these tickets that I picked up during the 35% off MS/Bing CashBack. |
