A.M.Cinema invites moviegoers to visit their local AMC theatre before noon to enjoy first-run movies for either $4.00, $5.00 or $6.00* depending on theatre and market.

ENJOY!

Thanks OP

Thanks!

Nothing near me.

does that include weekends?

It used to apply for Friday to Sunday only. It looks like they have lifted that restriction. Good deal!

does it apply to 3D movies too?

They still charge extra for 3d I think $3 for me, so the bargain price $9 for me.
Just go to MovieWatcher and you can see your price.

Thank You

Or you could just keep your 3d glasses at the end of your next 3d movie, then next time buy a ticket for a different show, and enjoy.

this has always been the deal

and most theaters open at 11 so there isn't a hude selection of movies

Thanks OP, I found my local theater is participating and Transformers is on before noon on IMAX for $10 (or regular version for $6).

Is it cheaper if I use student ID at the same time?

nope

Thanks OP -- my local AMC is participating.

http://www.cinemark.com/tspage.asp also has some theaters with low cost first show of the day.

No offense but this deal has been going on for years in Los Angeles. Is it just starting in other parts of the country?

To get such price, I have to buy online with Fandango or at theatres as well?
The price of UP-3D at lincoln center is $6 as shown in Fandango. I may save the surcharge if I could get the same price locally.

Thanks, wouldn't have looked. AMC Manhattan by Port Authority on 8th & W 42 has tons @10 am.
Rem old days in North Miami when had 2 films just a month old for $1 in summer time before 2 pm.
Place was packed. Cannonball Run and Oh God! made for a heck of a group date. We were just back from Europe where papers full of stories about Mid East freaks blocking doors of 'western' movies theaters than torching it.
Could hardly concentrate on Oh God! thinking the end was at hand. lol

It's been going on here in NJ for at least a couple of years too (probably longer than that), but it used to just be on Fri, Sat, Sun, and I think maybe Wed. It's $6 at the theatres here. I think regular tickets at my local theatre are $11.50 now.

Needless to say, I go to the early showings whenever I can. (And on Sundays, which tend to be the quietest day.)

Great deal. Wife and son went and saw Ice Age yesterday for only $4 each (11AM show). They used a free Fandango buck for $10 to get in totally free.

Also, I found a coupon on FW for a free Lg popcorn with a Lg coke purchase. So the total out the door was only $4 bucks!!!!!

No...but your face does

Is this any different than matinee pricing? Seems the same to me...? Oh nm, it's a couple bucks less than matinee... it's ridiculous how "matinee" pricing for LA/OC is around $9-10!!!

Fandango shows $10 for the earliest showing of Up 3d @ Lincoln sq Where did you see $6?

3D/Digital movies are +$3.

Also, don't forget AMC allows outside food/beverages. Last time I went I walked right in with my 44 oz. beverage ($1) from the gas station across the street with no problems.

I don't believe AMC does student prices anymore.

And this is nothing new. AMC has always done this. The only difference is that it used to extend to all showings before 4:00...now it's only the first showing.

Seems like this varies by market. In Metro Detroit, it's all shows before 4pm at $5. On holiday weekends like this one, they only go 'til noon and then jack the prices to $7.50. After 4pm, it's $10!

good deal, but seriously, do people go to theater before noon? I mean get up and grab a coffee and ...

go to a muveee!!!!!!!!

pun aside, here they run $5 movies on weekdays all day long. IMAX are $5 more. And ya, if movie screens on a Wednesday, then Wed,Thus are weekends too.
