It is virtually impossible to upgrade a laptop's video card as they are usually physically soldered to the motherboard and specialized to work specifically with the certain type of laptop motherboard you have. If you actually have a desktop computer but mistyped, you have to have a motherboard that supports PCI-E (pci express). This is a pci-e x16 card but I assume it would work on a pci-e x8 slot just not at its full potential. This should work in ANY desktop with the correct type of pci-e slot. |

I have installed this card and am quite pleased. All benchmarks, as expected, are twice that of my previously installed EVGA 7900 FS KO. After selling my old card and assuming I get the rebate my cost will be practically nil. Also the game is a bunch of fun! |

Newegg said:What is a Deactivated Item?
When a product is out-of-stock, it may show as "Deactivated" on the item page. This could mean that the item is no longer available and we are searching for a new supplier. However, if an item has reached the end of its product life cycle and will no longer be available at all, the deactivation will be permanent.
I think it just went deactivated because it was out of stock for several days |
