Went into the Terre Haute IN store and found this with a clearance tag showing $146.50. Brought it and some filler to checkout w/ a 30/150 coupon and the printer rang up as $60.50. Couldn't use the coupon, but not complaining. I have no idea if pricing will be national as it's $350 on clearance at staples.com. Staples SKU is 741915. Receipt attached. Good luck!
I picked up a brand new sealed one in quincy, IL. I knew the manager there and asked if he still had it in stock because another showed that this store still had it in stock and he told me that it went back. Well he must of lied cause I found the brand new one in the upper shelves. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

Wow. That's a great deal. I wish I could find something like that.

I guess Staples is now well known for the greedy managers/staffs...

Yep! Got it for $60.50 and then used the 10% off coupon. I got mine on Friday.
Saw something out there that was really hot.
The HP 6310 was marked down to $26.50 but all I saw was a display model.

So if you worked there you would ignore such a deal...

I just said something about the HP 6310. I had a friend that was looking for one and he knew where it was at but if I posted it, it probably would of been sold prior to him getting it.
I am sure there are alot of people who don't post things due to other people just waiting to get it.
Use the following link and replace the XXXXXX in the link below with the product id (283668) [L]http://www.Staples.com/office/supplies/StaplesStoreInventory?&langId=-1&catentryId=XXXXXX&storeId=10001[/L]
Does anyone know how accurate "Low Stock" is? Is it probably display or non-existent? I show 1 about 30 miles away, of course I would not go but I don't want to go on a wild goose chase either.
Is the printer better than a large paperweight? We have the B&W version of this AIO, and with Vista it is absolutely horrible. Network sharing does not work, sharing via USB causes us to reinstall the drivers each time we need to scan something, as well as various other quirks/problems. I said I would never buy another Samsung printer after this one...but an AIO color laser would combine our Xerox color laser and our AIO laser into one unit...
reachsante said: Universal Link to check any product's store availability How does one get the product ID of a clearance item that does not show up on their website? Or an item which was offered only at B&M, and never at .com?
This is only one data point, so not worth much but...
About two weeks ago, I went to pick one of the Simpletech 250GB HDD's from a "low stock" store. Showed up and mgr. checked computer in-store and said it showed that they had one. He originally claimed that it was a damaged return, and so I chatted with him about any other inexpensive portable drives they had as I had some ink-rewards to use up and could use an HDD.
After about only a minute or two, the mgr said "hang on, I have another one in the back. Let me take a look." He came out with the original ST 250GB I had asked about. So did he make a mistake, have a change of heart? Who knows.
1) It'll definitely be hit or miss with low-stock, so my recommendation would be that if you get on the road, expect them to be out of stock and make the best of it. 2) All you guys/gals claiming that employees should not get first dibs at the same deals the general public gets wind of from these deal sites ought to spend less time complaining about "fair" and spend that time scoping out more deals. Staples (and other) employees have the same rights as all of us. There are no rules to this game. It's just a game and all's fair in love and war .

RE: Does anyone know how accurate "Low Stock" is?
That means call them first, if one is in stock, that surely means the display model, some who answer the phone do not know this.

I just picked one up at one of the 3 locations near me, $60.50 + tax. The price tag underneath it was incorrect and listed it somewhere around $130 I believe. It was a display model, but they found the Manuals and CDs for me. Good reviews or not, transitioning to this from inkjet printers should be a huge difference. Now I just have to make sure it works...
And definitely do NOT call. The manager of the store I went to had no idea it was that price. I asked her to check the price and she just told me exactly what was on the tag underneath the printer. I asked her if she could go make sure and she was surprised when it rang up $60.50.
Also, the store I went to was listed under "Low Stock Clearance Item". If it says that for you, it's definitely worth a try. Just go, don't call and let them know about it.
O own this printer. It is a great buy for the money (I paid $150 no too long ago). scans/prints/copies fine with mac or pc (wired or wirelessly). Scan to email only works with PC. I used to have my printer connected to a print server (netgear) but I got rid of it and connected it directly to my mac and share it with the other macs.
My store shows a couple in stock. I will buy them both!

Only 3 inks turned in? The limit is 10 or 20 for some.
An item can be clearance now, and next week not. I was just talking to a manager about that phenomonon the other day. And can be clearance in one store and not at the one one 30 miles away.
Can be regular/higher price online and priced lower/clearance in a store, like the item being discussed here.

Should be. OP got it in Indiana and I went and got one here in Alabama for the same price.
Bought one in the Weymouth MA store. Online said limited stock/clearance and they found one in the back for me - rang up at $60.50+tax. There may have been more in stock at the time but I think any that were left were promptly bought by the employees when I left based on the reaction by the cashier.
The assistant manager who rang me up told me that the only reason they had one (they had to look in the back room) was because someone had ordered 2 and decided that they didn't want them.
So, it's better to be lucky than to be good, I guess.
Either way, thanks OP. I needed a good laser printer and now I've got one.
Went to store, say one on display in the clearance/open box printers section. Tag was missing from it. As I was taking a look, the tech guy rushed over to me to tell me that I probably didn't want it because it was missing the letter tray. I said, that's fine, I'll go online and buy it. His next response was that he couldn't sell it because it was a display. When I pointed out that there were other display printers on sale in the same aisle, he changed his tune and said that because it was missing a tray, it was "Staples policy" not to sell it. I asked him why some of the printers that were missing manuals and ac adaptors were still on sale (right next to this one) and he again changed his story to it being "Samsung policy."
I was going to be late for work so I just left but if I had time, I definitely would have asked for a manager (not that it would have made a difference)
Similar story in Los Angeles... We don't have it, we have it but there's a crack in the plastic, we can't sell it because its damaged.

Great deal but definitely YMMV

Thanks OP. Got one at the Lake Mary, FL store this afternoon. When I asked for it the cashier saw that there was one in stock and asked the manage who said that he tried looking for it for someone else earlier today and couldn't find it. He also said that it was probably broken or returned. I got him to look for it anyway and he found it in the back area supposedly being ready to return. He couldn't find the power cord or manual. I could tell that he was hoping that I wouldn't take it.
fyi Earlier when I checked it was listed as low stock online and now it shows that it's not sold at that location.
picked up the only one they had in chattanooga. committed the cardinal FW sin and called this morning to see if they had any (50 minute drive one way) and they did and actually held it til early this evening. had to pick up the Lehr trimmer from Home Depot across the street, too, at least.
Same story as well could not sell - damaged --went in anyway after work, it was on clearance for 299, I asked if I could buy and they said SURE! and it was the 60.00 price. Looks great.
I searched and searched for a refill kit with chips (A small computer chip found in every toner cartridge that tells the printer when its empty)... Samsung designed this thing so people could not refill them. Of course that means some geek will get pissed off and do something really cool to override it and that's EXACTLY what I found.
