The new Kellogg's Back to School form offers a $70 gift certificate on select Dell Inspiron Mini and Studio Laptops. This would be great to stack with any Outlet deals.

Where did you "find this out" at? I have seen several 10v mini's that have had ram upgrades. It is not easy or for the faint at heart but possible.

you can certainly upgrade the ram on the 10v...it's located UNDER the motherboard..i've already ordered my 2gb and will probably take a couple tranquilizers while i do the operation.

I thought when I bought this system that it said I was getting a free upgrade for Windows 7. Does anyone else remember seeing this? Dell Support is telling me none of the minis come with it and I can buy it. My response was, why should I pay for it when I am already suppose to get it.
Does anyone have anything that has this printed on it?

Does anyone have anything that has this printed on it?I know what you're talking about. When you go to your cart, there is a spot under Additional Discounts and Coupons that says "Click View Details for Windows 7 Upgrade availability." But if you click on that link, it says: "Vista Home Basic, XP or Linux Operating systems are NOT eligible for the upgrade on consumer products."
I already knew that XP didn't qualify for free a Windows 7 upgrade, but I still did a double take and had to look at the fine print. Every computer you add to the cart probably has the same upgrade message, but maybe they should reword it.
