There have been several deals posted on the new ASUS 1005HA since its release last week. The best one currently on the higher end version (1005HA-P with bluetooth, bigger battery as opposed to the lower end 1005HA-V) can be found at zipzoomfly. They throw in the free memory upgrade, making the combo less than the netbook on its own. Specs and link below.

From many reports, lots of folks are already running Windows 7 RC (release candidate) on these 10" netbooks with few problems. See example here at CNET. Reports also suggest that MS will offer a "Starter" edition of Windows 7 for netbooks (look here)
I and several friends have been running Win7 on various netbooks with no problems. It's been fast and reliable.
Just don't expect to be able to use features that require a lot of processing or graphics powers (such as Aero) because netbooks just don't have the horsepower needed to make them work.
Wow! The bottom of the page deal now appears to be giving you $5 if you add the RAM as well! The base price is $375 but if you add the RAM it's $370...
Better-than-free is always tempting, but the wife will kill me if another laptop appears in our house.
EDIT: Also, this particular netbook has a GMA 950 integrated graphics chip, which actually is supported in Vista (and probably also in Win7) to do the fancy graphical aero stuff. It might be sluggish, but it may work! (As opposed to a lot of slightly older chips, which don't )

I doubt many here would disagree with me. They're an authorized reseller for lots of brands, they have good prices, and their customer service is fairly responsive to inquiries. I'd love it if they shipped as fast as Amazon, but hey...not everyone can be king. I bought my 1000HE from ZZF a few months ago and haven't looked back...
Checked with ZZF to confirm processing/shipping time and was told that this item is currently OOS and on backorder.
No worries tho as I eked out a slightly better deal over at TigerDirect after using Bing CB:
Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X-BK 389.99 Crucial PC2-6400 800 MHz 2gb memory 26.99 shipping 1.99 less (47.19 CB for netbook) less (3.27 CB for processor) total $368.51

Also there is a $30 rebate if you get the external DVD (61.99 less the 30 rebate = 31.99). Supposedly there is going to be a Win7 netbook version, kind of Windows 7 lite. But it will probably only be available on new units. Right now all these netbooks run WinXP, which makes Microsoft mad. So they are making a pared down version of Win7. Vista is probably kind of bloated for netbooks.
Bing CB is 2.5%. I bought from ZZF has been satisfied with my purchases. I ordered the 1005HA when this promo and received it this afternoon. Upgrading the RAM is really easy. Overall, It's actually pretty decent speed with Win7 Ultimate and Office 2010. I'll swap out the HD with SSD as soon as it's in.
Only issue is that the BIOS needed to be updated. The application can be downloaded from ASUS's website.
There's no question, I'm running Windows 7 RC 32 on my Eee 1000HE and it runs better than XP. Bogs down much less. Performance is equal or better in every way. In my 2 week trial so far, Windows 7 is far superior to XP Pro on this model (2 gb ram). Windows 7 installed 1st try and downloaded a serviceable set of drivers immediately. I only had to pull a few things from Asus' site.
I installed W7 via a thumb drive, it installed as fast as my DVD installs went on other PCs.
The Eee 1000's are really more ultralight notebooks than netbooks. Other netbooks will likely have more problems with 7 or require a lite version.

I have a 904-HA, rated for ~6.5 hours, and I can easily get 5-5.5 hours with wifi and screen brightness somewhere in the middle while surfing. Video playback is worse, but for a mobile *net*book, it's quite nice. I'd be surprised if 10.5 hours didn't translate into at least 7 hours of normal usage.
