Artscow says free print, but they steal it back on shipping. Last time when they have the 5 free photo book deal, the shipping is like 8 dollars per book, and it stacks even if all four books comes in one shipment. So don't get fooled, when they say "Free", check the shipping before you jump. Because that is the real price. |

typically 14-21 days from HK. FWIW, I placed 2 orders recently and had them both in 8-10 days. That said, my orders were for decks of playing cards rather than prints. |

Ordered a photo mousepad from them and that took 2 weeks. I think there's a lot of variables in mail service so shipping times can vary greatly. However, it's probably best to allow 2 weeks for an order, if you get them sooner you can just be happy it didn't take 3 weeks! |

glenatuf said:bls56 said:I've been using ArtsCow for about a year. The previous deal for 1,200 prints was 50 4x6s and 50 5x7s per month for 12 months. That meant $3.99 with shipping for 50 4x6 prints, or 8 cents a print. Looks like the new offer ups that to 100 4x6s and 50 5x7s per month. Shipping is slow -- direct from Hong Kong -- but I have found the prints to be of good quality, and 8 cents is pretty good everyday when you can't find a better sale elsewhere. They also have some neat gift items. Warning: Wading through the tortured English sometimes takes some effort.
Hong Kong, huh. Thanks for the heads up. Are the competitors domestic? I'm thinking winkflash and Adorama, etc... I like Adorama, they do a real good job. |

Keep in mind that they ARE shipping internationally and I'm sure it costs a pretty penny for shipping. So what if they make some money? Isn't that the goal of a business? It would be a poor business model if all they did was give away "free" and end up with negative cashflow. Any company who's goal isn't to be in the black won't exist very long (excluding government bailouts of course). moejarv said:Artscow says free print, but they steal it back on shipping. well these hong kong/ china etailers like DX and so on, i dont know how they can make money. I am pretty sure its the CHINESE GOVERNMENT subsidizing the mail. No way Deal Extreme can send 1.50 laser pointers from china to us with free shipping and make money. Chinese government making its own business more competitive, well it makes for cheap stuff for us so i cant complain |

Can you add on one of their free shipping coupons during the 10 months if ordering other items to get the entire order shipped free? |

Nice, just about everything is free. That S&H is still expensive though. |

ok, quick overview of 100 and 500 prints from other competitors.. and artscow, including shipping. This considers the promotional codes, and shipping costs. Walgreens (picking up at store to avoid shipping) 100 photos 4x6 = 19$ 100 photos 5x7 = 159$ 500 photos 5x7 = 795$
Adorama (without shipping... only NYC is available to pickup at store) 100 photos 4x6 = 14$ 100 photos 5x7 = 39$ 500 photos 5x7 = 195$ (the cheapest option considered, since many qualities are available) artscow 100 photos 4x6 = 6$ 100 photos 5x7 = 12$ 500 photos 5x7 = 36$ Is this correct? |

Seems like a great deal if you don't mind waiting for pictures. I don't think the shipping prices are higher than Snapfish/Shutterfly and you would have to pay .9 or .10 per print. How's the quality of prints, photo albums and other freebies? |

Ordered mine yesterday evening and got an email within a few hours saying it has been shipped! Shipping medium is shown as USPS somehow...Now is just the waiting game as to when i receive it, but still very surprising it was shipping within a few hours. |

I placed my first order with them last week. When I was checking my bank statement instead of being charged the $25.57 that was on my invoice I was charged $26.08 an extra .51 cents. I contacted artscow and they told me the charged didnt come from them that my bank must charge a fee for international orders. I contacted my bank and was told they dont charge a fee and that they just paid what was requested by artscow to pay. Has anyone else been overcharged by them? |

Even though artscow charge shipping, it is still cheaper than costco. Plus, the quality of the photos are excellent. |
