davneil said:I think WDHD TV is a better solution, I have one of this bought for 25 dollars during old Phillips Refurbished days and haven ot watched a movie in last 3 months on this. I got the WD TV and the 5990. WD TV can play more formats but the 5990 plays my old DVD collection. I also like the slim form factor of the 5990 and how it matches the rest of my AV equipment. |

Genius069 said:Does anyone own this currently? I got the equivalent samsung brand and the player was pretty darn loud. I bought it for the bedroom and I could hear the disc spinning in the samsung. Depending on your choice of film "genres" in the bedroom, I would think pretty darn loud could be a plus... |

Does anyone know if you can watch a DVD rip via the USB port with this player? I bought one and ripped a DVD and copied it to a USB flash drive but it doesn't seem to recognize it. But plays Divx files just fine and they look great. |

You should be able to play VOB files off the DVD rip if you just ripped it as files, but you won't get the DVD menu and it doesn't recognize ISO format. |

Ok thanks I got it to play some VOB files but it didn't seem like the were in the right order or something...I'll just have to play around with it, but too bad it doesn't show the proper DVD menu. |

Just ordered now that f/s is back. TY OP. I tried adding: 15% off select Electronics and Accessories. • w/ Coupon 6FWJ247J1P44CK • exp 10/31/09 but that forced the removal of the $10 off IS. Anyone have any success at stacking the 15%? |
