Try this one Lenova Y650

I feel like I am shopping at Dell's website. Anyone notice the customization interface looks exactly similar to Dell.

Great deal. Thanks OP!

Thx, but still not working. Something must be going on w/ links gettin embedded here at FW, now the links are getting appended with "www . anrdoezrs . net' at the beginning, I've never noticed that before

I was able to dig my way thru and find it by search on Y650's.

good deal. I just ordered the 8710w deal early today otherwise this will be a good choice.

Does anyone know the weight of this laptop? And how does it stack up against other deals? TIA

it says 5.6 lbs

rather get a better t500 for a little more

+1, better GPU (ATI 3650) in the T500 for less than this deal.

Specs and price look good. Might be time to retire the home laptop for this desktop replacement.

The deal is for the last model on the Y650 page

Since we won't be gaming on this machine, the Intel graphics are just fine. Also, I was looking at the Y Series Product PDF and I was please to see that it has...
HDMI port supporting HDCP to output protected content
6-in-1 reader (MultiMedia Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO™, Secure Digital Card, Secure Digital Elite Pro Card, xD-Picture Card™)
High Definition (HD) Audio, RealTek® ALC272 codec / two JBL® stereo speakers (2 watt), Dolby® Home Theater™ Speaker System
Bluetooth 2.1 wireless + EDR

to build an equivalent T500, I'm seeing 1429...almost twice the price...

unless I'm missing something (which isn't unlikely )

Thanks...I couldn't find that (still can't, but I'll take your word for it)

any idea on real life battery life?

I'm trying to talk the wife into letting me upgrade my 3 year old Toshiba

Build through the SPP site, total is $692.

decisions, decisions...DW gave me the go ahead...so now I have to decide...won't be doing any gaming on it, so GPU doesn't really matter much to me

$692 seems to be a good deal for an equivalent T500 with ATI GPU.
What and where is the "SPP site" mentioned by zx10rrider?

I'm still not seeing an equivalent T500 for that price...but...the ideapad is looking good...since I don't need the faster GPU

Dude great catch. Just ordered it. Thanks.

dead already?

go to the cpp site, friendsandfamily code, t500 still comes out cheaper and faster

Well to clarify, the code on the cpp site is familyandfriends

Use this link to the CPP site

good price on good laptop, thanks in 4 1

Thanks for the link to the CPP site. I found a "new" T500 on the outlet site for 50% off last night, so I grabbed it.

Lorens said: go to the cpp site, friendsandfamily code, t500 still comes out cheaper and faster

Is there a coupon code that you're using? I'm taking a base T500 with the ATI GPU...upgrading the processor to be the same as the Y650, bumping it to 4 gig RAM, with Vista premium, and a 320 gig drive and I'm getting 1065 for an equivalent unit...

the base T500 with the ATI GPU IS cheaper by about 20 bucks...but a slower processor, half the RAM, lower version of Vista, and half the drive space...

so I must be doing something wrong...the original deal is a 2.53 Ghz processor, 4 gig RAM, vista home premium 64-bit, 320 gig drive...

I'd MUCH prefer the thinkpad...but not at that price...any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

I'm wondering the same thing, pryan67.
