It appears you have never examined a 2.5" external hard drive. There is NO shock absorbtion, just a cheap plastic shell. If you drop your $100 camera on a sidewalk all you lose is the camera. If you drop your $100 hard disk you can lose a lot more.
Too bad they do not give dimensions for this.

The case interior measures 5.25 x 0.75 x 5.5 inch (LxWxH)
Pretty sure that's not right, any though on what the correct dimensions are? The aspect ratio is more like a rectangle than a square.
This is more like a square than a rectangle, this can not be the correct dimensions. Look at the picture, the aspect ratio is more like 1:1.5, suggesting a rectangle and not a square. A correct dimension should be something like 5.25 x 0.75 x 3.5
Smells weird, cheap stitching / material, velcro not aligned well- looks like it could open anytime. The lid size is weird too. Definitely cheap. Not sure if it's even worth $4 shipped... $1 and I might not feel so bad.

Buy one of these. A little cheaper....same smell....perhaps better quality.
