This desk is pretty good. A lot of surface space and reasonably sturdy. But it has to be in a corner as shown in the picture. A lot of sharp edges - if you have small kids, you may want to buy a different kind.
The desk is pretty good and I have been using this desk for around 3 years. I got for the same price at that time. It is very sturdy and can take lot of weight. You can keep, pc, books, computer etc.

Just read the comments on Staples.com, not sure tpcool here is a Staples Sales Associate.

actually, it is pretty good desk for $60.
You have to make the L shape to make it sturdy. but you can assemble it _| or |_ of your choice. Also it is possible to make it straight version. -- very easy to assemble.
I purchased this desk back in late 2003 and am still using it today. It's a great desk with lots of surface area, but just a few words of caution.
Table surface covered with some faux maple wood paper veneer. Can easily be scratched or peeled off if you accidently left anything sticky on it, like tape.
Table made of particle board, so I wouldn't put anything heavy like a 20" CRT, especially on the curved corner piece. LCD monitors are perfectly fine anywhere.
Top shelf is useful in storing books, paperwork, phone, etc.., but not much depth for a printer.
After 6 years of use, the table surface is starting to show signs of wear & tear. I'll probably replace the table surface with solid wood or MDF and continue using the aluminum support. Not a bad investment for $70 back then. I would love to find a deal on the file cart and bookcase just to "complete" the collection.

I have this desk, too. It will slowly warp in the center of the large sections if you put anything heavy on it for a long period of time, but that's typical for this kind of thing. Replacing the top would be well worth it when the time comes, as the leg supports are quite nice.
I have a cube-shaped PC on one corner above a leg, a large laptop and a 19 wide LCD in the small section, a printer in the curved section, a scanner on the shelf and a messy array of papers on the large section. I used to have my laptop in the large section, but noticed warping so I moved it.
Tip: Water will ruin the finish. Use coasters!

I am not a sales associate. care to see others +ve reviews here before commenting. in my case it is working very well. Its a good deal for 60. Obviously, you can get better ones if you pay more
thats about all its worth. Sags in the middle with minimal weight on top. I paid more for it 2 yrs ago and hate it. Its flimsy.
I still got the file cart/printer stand new in the box. I never bothered to put it together, lol.

Actually the whole Z-Line series is very decent for the price. I have the Z-LineŽ Legacy Glass L-Desk (Item: 727061) for almost 3 years too now and absolutely love it. It is very sturdy (have a 32" LCD with speakers on one corner and a ton of books on the other corner and it's holding up very well!) The best part about my desk is that you can break the L shape down into two simple singular desks if you don't have a big enough corner.
