stopped by at WalMart today n saw one looks like this with only one remote control for $12 n something made by GE, the remote control has 2 buttons, it looks much smaller, thinner n nicer than in op's, not sure the quality though but you always can return it within 90 days if not happy

the alarm runs on 4xAA batts... would be a hassle to have to check up on these. Murphy's law - when you need it to work, it'll be low or out of battery power
You should buy the GE ones. I just bought a lot of GE common shares, so please help me out...

I'm a builder. and when people were building houses, I bought a bunch of something like this without the remote, made by GE. It is very effective. Batteries last a long time, and chirp like a smoke alarm when weak. Loud as h3ll. I got tired of people helping thereselves to materials and tools, and this stopped it. If they only knew that all they had to do was find it and stomp on it, but they assume it is wired in and monitored.
Why there are two remotes? I don't know where should I mount these, if it is outdoor my neighbor will be upset, if inside the use is really not effective.
We had a burglary and I want something for open areas. It is not sensing motion through the glass.
