I think they look pretty cool. Even if you're a LEGO fan, you gotta admit that the Halo series does look appealing with the camo pieces and cool minifigures that look like the guys in the game. I'm sure my son will enjoy having this guy to play with in addition to his regular LEGO minifigs. If you compare $4 to the cost of buying individual LEGO minifigures on eBay, this isn't really that bad of a deal. If you're a Halo fan, or if these things actually end up having any sort of collectability value, then it's even better.
Back in April of 2008 EGM magazine announced that LEGO Halo the video game was coming.... it was an april fool's joke. Too bad, LEGO could have had a sure fire winner. Thanks OP for the heads up though, LEGO missed the boat on this one.... Maybe they'll get smart and join up with Hasbro to make Transformers or something.
I was tempted to get 1 until I realized, 1.75 inches? That's like the size of a LEGO guy, right? So we're basically just getting a LEGO guy made by Mega Blocks and dressed in Halo costume for 4 dollars?
Son got the Scorpion tank and while VERY close to the game model..the quality was just not up to par with LEGO...pieces DO NOT stay together near as well as LEGO. In fact we had to GLUE some peices together just so it didn't fall apart picking it up...I'm with RunningMan...definitely a clearance special type of purchase and with Kmarts around here getting run out of biz by the evil empire of Wally World it won't be long...
