First post, be nice. This one ain't for the faint of heart.

Oasys... I always wanted to try those. Green to OP.

EDIT: ... Unfortunately, they don't have the prescription I need--I have astigmatism.

I see on VisionDirect they show Oasys for Astigmatism, so maybe ask your Optometrist if they are right for you.

Just fyi, the rebate doesn't apply to the special Oasys types like for astigmatism.

Thanks, updated numbers. When I placed the order a few days ago, volume discount was $20 not $26. Should now be corrected with correct percentage calculations as well, sorry about that.

I had a trial per from the Opto and didn't like them. My friend had them for awhile and switch also.

my sister is an optometrist and she says Oasys are the best contacts you can buy. any optometrist will tell you that too. they are the highest quality lenses and best for your eyes. they are also the most expensive contact lenses you can buy. they allow more oxygen to reach the eyes than any other brand. I was able to get an additional $160 off from my VSP insurance, and my friend works at Hour Eyes so she gave me an additional discount. I paid total about $30 bucks for 8 boxes of Oasys.

If the rebate goes through, this must be the best deal ever on Contacts; they're practically giving them away. I'm not sure how good that makes me feel, though (they have to give them away?), but my trial pair worked out well, so hopefully they won't cause any problems.

I did a similar deal about 2 months ago. I paid a little more, but I wanted to let y'all know that mine included a "New wearers" rebate through Acuvue as well with an eye exam in the past three months. I hadn't had an eye exam in 9 months but just submitted my documenation anyway and I got my rebate check fine.

how did you get 20% bing CashBack? I only see 10% listed for Vision Direct/Drugstore.

I'm seeing 10% for Bing Cash Back. I saw another post where it said Bing will have double Cash Back starting august 10th(link), do I have to wait til that date? Or is it 20% now and if I wait til that date, will it make this deal sweeter?

I'm still seeing 20%. Use keyword "acuvue oasys" on the main page to bring it up. I'm not sure about the double Cash Back deal.

edit...

NM got it.... im trying to see how low i cant get this... thx OP

im getting this for the 15%

go to bing.com and look up Cash Back. It should explain everything there. You just shop through their site and it tells you how much % back you get from linking through them. You have to make an account, takes all of 3 minutes...

Thanks OP. Was about to submit my order when I read the fine print:

Purchases made at Costco®, WalMart®, Sam's Club® and 1·800 CONTACTS® not valid for any of the offers presented in this rebate program. New Wearer rebate only for new ACUVUE® OASYS™ Brand with HYDRACLEAR® Plus wearers.

Since I got my 8 boxes from 1800Contacts, I'm out!

Doh!

For those with astigmatism, I just ordered from Costco and paid 29.99 a box for the Oasys, if you purchase 8 boxes, they also gave you a $30 Costco rebate. That's the best deal I could find when I was shopping around. Sure wish I didn't have the astigmatism so I could cash in on this deal.

When does the coupons expire?

I wouldn't recommend VisionDirect after my order last October. They wouldn't give me my CashBack and would not respond to any e-mails I sent. I was not pleased at all with their customer service.

Your Cash Back comes from Microsoft, not Vision Direct. Just send Microsoft Cash Back an e-mail saying that you purchased them through Drugstore.com Vision Direct, and that you are entitled to the Cash Back. Worked for me.

Thanks OP. How long did it take to get your Bing CashBack to post?

This is a YMMV since VisonDirect has its own CashBack listing. And shouldn't you wait for CashBack to double in a few days?

I tried buying through Vision Direct via Drugstore.com and bing a couple of weeks ago to get the 20% CashBack and it wouldn't show up in my account. I emailed microsoft a few times and here is the response:

Thank you for contacting Bing CashBack Customer Support! My name is XXXXXX. I will be assisting you with Service Request #XXXXXXX regarding your missing CashBack.
Unfortunately, you must go directly from Bing.com to the site you wish to purchase your merchandise from to be eligible for CashBack. If you went from Bing.com to Drugstore.com then to Vision-Direct your purchase is not eligible for CashBack. You must go directly from Bing.com to Vision Direct to be eligible for a CashBack reward. Based on this resolution, your incident will now be closed.

We have appreciated your patience while working dilligently to get this issue resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced throughout this issue.

Thank you XXXXX for contacting Bing CashBack Customer Support.

Suggest using a direct VisionDirect.com link (or maybe wait a few days for the double bing CashBack to show up)

The link provided today is directly to VisionDirect.

Anyone have any idea how they know if you're a first time wearer of these? I'm trying to order them for my gf, but she has used them before. So she wouldn't qualify for the new wearer rebate? I think she may have bought a box from her optometrist before...

You can call them at the number on acuvue website. I did that. Mostly, if you hadn't used their rebate system before, you should be a new user.

This is actually sort of a repost, because somebody posted the $100 rebate for new wearer several days ago. But if you can find a direct link to VisionDirect on bing, it'll save you a bit more on CB.

Yes this is not on VisionDirect but on Microsoft/Bing, and they have customer service for this very issue, here is the form to fill out:

Well that was last year, think they would be able to do anything about it now?

i just ordered some oasys for astigmatism from Sam's Club and their price was 23.94 per box after an instant discount of 6 dollars per box if you order 4 boxes. i ordered 8 boxes and my bill totaled 190 and change. i didn't search too long, but it was one of the best deals i could find.

First time contact buyer here....how is it that 8 boxes is a year supply? Is there more than a pair per box? TIA for help.

its 8 boxes... 3 pairs per box... 2 weeks per pair... = 48 weeks... close enough to 1 year.

Thank you, will call and check it out. Thanks!

Thanks OP! Has anyone gotten the 20% Bing CashBack email or see it pending on your account? I ordered today at 3:30pm CT and haven't received an email or a pending balance yet.

I have found that Bing CashBack will not give you the CashBack if you use coupons with your order. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Sorry, but not true! There are others with higher oxygen transmissibility. There is no specific "best for your eyes" contact lens. What works for you may not work for me, etc. Good deal though!

I haven't gotten a pending CashBack yet, so it very well could be true, at least for Vision Direct. I'll contact them tomorrow if I don't see anything in my account by then.
