Today I was @ Office Max and they had the duracell 15 minute charger and 4 batteries for $9.90 this was regular priced at 44.99 which is around what Amazon has it Here
it charges at a pretty high rate so i am only going to use it for my non-hybrids that I am relatively unconcerned about plus i am going to use 1 four pack of either my ROV or Nexcells and see what performance differences i see. The only drawback i have found so far is that it has a cooling fan on it that sounds like a vacuum cleaner on high while charging but it does keep the batteries cool. the charging amperage is listed as 8.3A (or 8300 mA) @ 1.2v which is incredible if true.
i have a lacross bc900 as well i will play with this in the next few days and let you know what it shows.
the sku is 2105-7384 here is the OM link which does show it @ 29.99 but the stores are clearancing it out.

I picked up a couple of these tonight and they rang up as $9.99. There was a little sign on the display with this price and said "Special Purchase". Nothing about being on clearance, so in this case a Price Match should be easier?
There was a $2 coupon in Sunday's paper from a couple of weeks ago to make it even sweeter.
The one closest to my house claims is a special buy, but were out.

in testing this thing really is a 15 minute charger. it puts out 8300ma which will charge a 2400 mah battery in 15-16 minutes. it charges each row individually and with an IR thermo scan you can watch it stop charging as the temp falls pretty quickly with the fan when it stops charging that row.
surface battery temps hover in the 115-120 range which is lower than my lacross bc900. however this charger is very very choosy several energizer 2500mah that will charge on the lacross immediately fail on this charger. i think it checks internal resistance and if it is at all out of spec it fails it.
i don't think i am going to regularly charge any of my LSD (low self discharge) batteries on this but i might occassionally throw them on this.
in the end, not bad for the price but i would not want it to be my only charger either
