They look good, though 40 is a bunch for me to pay without having tried my particular laptop in person.

thx for the post.

What airports do you guys travel through? have you EVER had a time in the USA where you dont have to take your laptop and cords out of the bag? Every single time I've carried my laptop through they dont care if it is in a see through plastic bag, they want it out and half the time they make you turn it on....I dont really think there is anything about any laptop case that can be "airport friendly"

Please do some research, the exact point of these TSA/checkpoint friendly bags is that you do not have to take your laptop out of it and put it in a bin.

I'm waiting for a cheap one that has wheels. I travel too much to lug around my laptop on my shoulder along with the other stuff I cram into the bag. A rolling bag also keeps me from sweating like a backpack does, and I can attach the rolling carryon to my main suitcase and not have to carry anything.

Good price on these though, since the luggage manufacturers are charging a pretty penny for the airport-friendly ones now.

I think that will depend on the airport and the person at the checkpoint. Sometimes, I go through fine (at JFK) and other times, they made a big deal out of it (at SFO).

Good luck with arguing with that particular TSA agent who is going to tell to tell take out your laptop anyway.
You'll just wind up wasting more time then if you just taken the laptop out in the first place.

I really don't know what a little red sewn on tag with a check mark is going to do. Bet you most
agents won't even recognize it.

I don't think it's as much that TSA allows these as it is that the TSA workers are too dumb to know their own guidelines and will want to see the laptop out of everything. Try holding a handout of TSA policy in their face (an actual TSA handout - not something printed from their website) and they still don't care.

TSA is just too dumb.

These are good cases. But .... I have one (paid about $50, I think so I paid too much) and of the last four trips I've taken, I got to keep in in the case exactly zero times.

racuerex is right: TSA don't know, TSA don't care. Take it out of the case and stop giving TSA lip.
