Did you actually initialize those drives and create partitions using disk manager? These extenal Thermaltake docking stations have no bus translation electronics. They are nothing more than a external power supply and data connection for your SATA drive thus they will work with ALL current and future capacity SATA drives.

No, how can I do that? Show me, thanks again....I plugged in SATA 500GB from WD work fine, but when I tried the 1.5 TB Seagate, nothing shown in My Computer.

Is that 20% off your entire order? I'm thinking about ordering a bigger ticket item - an ASUS EEETop machine for about $400. That would give me another $80 Cash Back, right?

did you try initializing the disk and setting up a partition? is there any type of icon or warning symbol next to the drive?

also/or, if it is showing up in drive manager, and it has an active partition, make sure it isn't trying to share a drive letter with another devise. (give it a different drive letter).
There are 3 files in the zip: 1. The BlacX Driver zip file 2. A read me first text which contains password 3. INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INITIALIZE A NEW BLANK DISK
These are great for any PC work. I usually run antivirus and spyware on removed hard drives on my computer, since other computers (family/friends) are usually slower and bogged down with crap. I found it's faster to pull their drive and use this instead of dealing with their PC.
Agreed but the question is will the rebate center see it that way?

Green for the post but a warning to owners.
I have three of these because they work so well, I leave one plugged into every PC rather than moving them around (yeah, I know I'm lazy). Two are connected with eSATA and one with USB. One of them had an extremely dangerous problem that nearly cost me weeks of work. While transferring a large number of files, I noticed the activity light would periodically go off. All the transfers seemed to complete just fine but I decided to check the Windows Event Viewer and found numerous error messages going back a few weeks when the deviice was first connected. I decided to compare the files copied to or from this device and sure enough they did not match the originals! The originals would have been deleted the following day if I had not noticed the activity light turning off. I am still shaking my head about programs including Explorer just eating the errors without popping up something along the lines of "hey we have a problem here". I have absolutely confirmed the issue is with the docking station's eSATA circuits. The same errors occur no matter what drive is used or what PC it's connected to yet never occur with the other docking stations when doing the exact same operations. So be careful.

Just checking, when you found it under disc managment, you formatted it right? And it still doesn't show up under my computer?

So what you're saying is that one of your docks is defective and it doesn't give any warning of errors during transfer but the other two docks are fine?

good price. i had positive experience w/ this model. may buy another.
Have you used diskpart yet? Go into the start menu to search for Command Prompt (use vista's auto entry box) and when it shows up in the results, right click it and choose run as administrator. At the prompt, type diskpart and hit enter. Then type "list disk" (no "s here or for anything in the rest of this message) and hit enter. There should be a disk in the list that matches the size of the disk you plugged in and it's probably the disk with the highest number. Type "select disk 3" or "select disk X" where X is the number of the disk you want to look at. Next, type "list partition" and if nothing comes up, you're ready for the next step. If partitions show up, select another disk. You do not want to erase a disk that has partitions unless you are absolutely sure it's the right disk. Okay so once you've selected a disk you want to totally erase, type "clean" and then wait a bit. Then type exit. Then go back into control panel and see if you see it.

I always do a md5sum to make sure the files are good and valid.
The $15 rebate is back on this at Amazon, bringing it down to $24.98 and free shipping. I know it isn't as good as $19 but this is the lowest price I can find on the net right now. Not sure if iamchuck's had free shipping at the time though.
This should work great for me although I found my SATA drives are only running about 35mb/sec which is almost half the speed of USB 2.0. Still good to have full SATA II compatability built in for future drives.
Also I noticed this is the same thing as Rosewill RX-DUS100 on Newegg.
