I was just at the Simi Valley, CA Costco and bought two 10 ten packs of the 60W energy saving bulbs for 99 cents. They are regularly $13.49, but Southern California Edison has an instant rebate of $12.50 on these. There is a limit of two.
Every single multibulb pack has this kind of special. I believe the 6 pack of 100W bulbs were $1.99 with the instant rebate. There were also flood lights, etc.
I have to imagine this is available at all SoCal Costcos.

I didn't have the time to write down all the deals. Good luck and enjoy before they run out!

Yeah it's been in Alhambra warehouse for a while. I moved recently and got myself 2 boxes of them and hey, if SoCal Edison is paying you to get them, and you get to save a lot of money, why not?

Good deal. The best I've seen before this is 4-pack for 99 cents at the grocery store. This easily tops that.

Call (yes it's okay to call) your Costco first to see if they have it. Costcos in DWP locations do not offer the Edison rebate. This is a 4 day deal that ends on Sunday I just found out.

I saw the same at the Marina Del Ray costco. Limit two packs per person. Amazingly good deal. I think the six-pack of 100w bulbs was $1.99, and the 60w pack was $0.99.

Was just at Costco in the San Fernando Valley and they told me that this is valid at certain Costco's, and that it doesn't seem any Costco's in the Los Angeles County are offering the rebates. (Just adding onto the other previous comment where you should probably call)

The Northridge Costco is the one I went to. Planning on probably visiting another participating Costco.

SF Valley is DWP. Lindero Canyon in Westlake Village has them as does the Costco on Madera in Simi Valley.

I bought several packs of the 15 watt (i.e. "65 watt equivalent") R30 reflector 6-packs in both the dimmable (about $6-7/pack) and standard ($2/pack) formats about a month or so ago and eventually returned them all.

The bulbs had a horrible lag (like 1-2 seconds) and took a long time to reach an adequate brightness level. The "dimmable bulbs" just flickered whenever I tried to dim them. They were all Feit Electric bulbs, and I'm guessing they were some of Feit's lowest end bulbs because I have some other Feit CCFLs that I purchased a while back that light instantly and reach full brightness very quickly.

Thanks for the post. Unfortunately, the Poway location in san Diego, CA doesn't have this going on. I went in there just to buy lightbulbs and managed to spend $40 and didn't even get lightbulbs.

Darn. ..... Not at the Carmel Valley Location either.

Are these made with whole wheat, or processed flour?

What's that? Oh, they're *Fluorescent Light Bulbs", not "Flourescent Light Bulbs"?
Got it, thanks!

At least it wasn't $400...

I went to SCE website, and input the address of the costco in the Turn on form to see if there's SCE available before actually go there. You have to be in the Southern California Edison serving district.

I bought 6 boxes, 2 10-pck 65w, 2 6 pack 100w, 2 6pack special bulb(with reflect). I saw the 10pck 65w has a 2 boxes limit, and all others are limited as 16 bulbs, but the cashier said that should be 16 boxes. There's a dimmable too, but that's more than $10 even after rebate. I have to pay the tax for the full price though.

I spent more than $550

Also available at Santa Clarita.

Saw the clerk putting a bunch of them out in Torrance store. My complaint is that I got a bunch of these Feit and Phillips brand before. None of them last 7 years like they said on the box. Most of them don't even last 1 year. My old regular light bulbs lasted longer than this. And they do have the horrible warm up time to get to full brightness.

For the amount of money we're saving, a little sacrifice for bulb quality and longivity is ok to me.

I've used Feit and agree they're pretty low quality. Haven't used Philips but thought that would be a better brand.

The post right before yours was from someone who got it at the Marina Del Rey Costco.

Used to be free gift with any purchase in some Asian supermarket, good deal anyway.

I recently bought a six pack of the replacement CFL 15W "equivalent" to a 65W R30 relector for my ceiling can lights at Costco; they were $2.39 after the immediate rebate. The lumen rating is higher with the replacements but the light appears much dimmer and has a different color light as we all already knew. For 40 cents each it is still a good deal but I am using them only in my closets and short hallways where the lighting is not that critical. I would not use them in my kitchen or office where good lighting is important. Green for you O.P for being "green".

Still available at Industry - $1.99 for a 6 pack of 100W equivalents, 0.99 for a 10 pack of 60W equivalents (plus sales tax on $11.59 or $13.49, respectively).

I wouldn't expect them to, San Diego's utility is SDGE, and the poster said these are subsidized by SoCal Edison...

that'll be only one or two.

Just got back from Costco this morning, and found the deal at the San Bernardino location. Here, the deal for 60W replacements was $13.49 - $12.50 Instant Rebate, for a OTD cost of $.99 + tax. Or $0.10/bulb.

I uploaded a photo to the wikipost of the actual bulbs, but sadly my photo of the price sheet was rendered unusable by Mr. Blurrycam.

You lucky Californians! Here in Illinois, ComEd would probably tack on an additional $12.50 fee instead of giving a discount, since using these bulbs would decrease their revenue!

Does Costco still charge sales tax based on the pre-discount price? It was like that when I bought discounted CFLs from Costco a couple years ago.

got 2 boxes in Redondo Beach, CA. And yes tax is charges on pre-discount price.

limit 16 in the ontario mills costco.
