got a coupon book w/this offer on the front page / the offer states that you have to bring this booklet in - but have heard success stories of getting cash card w/o the brochure!!! so - ?! - YMMV and good luck!
I was shocked when I got this same offer on a coupon booklet around March of this year. Not only had I had let my membership lapse for about 6 months and had stopped receiving mailers from them, I'd never seen them offer $ for membership on a coupon booklet before. I guess it's a sad sign that they need to offer this again so soon.

That's interesting. I assumed that I got that invitation because I had let me membership lapse. I'd never gotten a coupon like that from Costco before, and I've been a member (off and on) for over 10 years.
I was offered $20 in cash cards at the door (a membership rep was there working) after stating I didn't have a membership but was interested in one. So you may not need a coupon for it. I signed up (executive) and they give me the cards on the spot.

wait.. this is for new members?! OP, how did you get $ if you were an existing member? (i'm an executive member, but just got $ back because i didnt get $50 worth of CashBack)
