Use code LCFRIEND to get another 25% off. (needs a LC account set up) or Use code WELCOME for $10 off $30 for new accounts only. or Use code WELCOME20 for $20 off $40 for new accounts only.
Jusst a note, you'll need a LC account to use the coupon. At least, that's what it told me. Looks pretty easy to register, though. Excellent deal, OP, my nephew loves Thomas!
You are wrong, its not take along. It clearly says Wooden Railway, yes it does not come in the shrink wrap, and no thomas card, but its DEFINITELY wooden railway. I can vouch for it, since I got it last time the deal was around last year.

Also, beware that this is a Take Along Thomas which is die-cast. ("Thomas Wooden Railway vehicles, track and destinations are not compatible with Take Along Thomas items.")

Hmm, did you try typing the coupon code in rather than copying and pasting? I placed an order using a coupon yesterday without any trouble, but I typed the code in directly.
Thanks...got a couple of great gifts for the kids.

Has any one found a cheap set of tracks to go with these? The one that I found on their site seems to be about a $100. I assume thats what "barbeque" was referring to?
Thanks OP - used that 20 of 40 coupon to get some trains, swaddle blankets <-The best thing for a good night sleep and some magnetic stacking bugs for under $30 shipped. Not to hunt on the bay for some knock off tracks that will fit. I haver heard BRIO, any other types that are cheap that may work?

Kids.woot has a nice Thomas figure-8 set today for $55 shipped, which also includes two more trains (Thomas & Stanley). This is a great deal for actual Thomas tracks. We usually buy the generic ones (such as Imaginarium) since they all work together -- Craigslist and garage sales are also a great place to stock up since these are fairly durable and used stuff is usually still in pretty good condition.

If you live near an Ikea, they carry a few small wooden train sets that are quite inexpensive. They are the standard wooden train size, so they are more or less compatible with Thomas, BRIO, T.C. Timber, etc. Sometimes one brand of train tracks doesn't quite fit well with another (sandpaper can help), but most are supposed to be "compatible." http://www.ikea.com/us/en/search/?query=train
The Ikea train sets I looked at recently are made in Bugaria, which might or might not be better than some other countries in terms of product safety. Maple Landmark makes the "Name Train" line of wooden tracks and trains in the U.S. They are also supposed to fit with the other wooden train sets (Thomas, BRIO, T.C. Timber), but they are relatively expensive.
The wooden train tracks sold by IKEA do NOT fit the thomas wooden tracks well. IKEA track has a plastic end, and when connecting to the notch of Thomas wooden track, some force must be applied. This can be extremely frustrating for some kids...

No, Texas. But Thomas is so expensive I call it "the money train".

I find you can get this stuff pretty cheap on eBay. I just purchased a bunch of stuff from www.thomasandtoys.com

Ikea has some tracks that are relatively cheap ($10 for a figure-8 track with four-piece magnetic train when I bought ours), but I'm not sure if they're compatible with BRIO. I have the Ikea set and have added a few random pieces from thrift stores that are the same gauge and do link up, but it takes a little force. The trains run fine on all the sets I have. But, I don't recall what brand the random bits were. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/search/?query=lillabo
