So I bought my wife a new Dell studio 14z for $699.99 + tax and today I found something on Best Buy to sweeten the deal. You can now get an FREE 8x slim profile external USB DVD burner (retail $80.00) with any purchase of Studio 14z at BB. This deal alone is much cheaper than what is on Dell site. Here's the same config on Dell and Best Buy I have.

The review for this laptop is excellent and it came with an 8-cell battery which can last up to 5 hours and 20 minutes. The only minus is the 5400RPM hard drive that came with the one on BB.com. But that didn't stop me, I have a spare 200GB 7200RPM 2.5" hard drive I bought in the past. I just replaced it but it can be a little tricky because you have to take off the keyboard, but it's a 10 min. job for me.

Thanks OP! I picked this one up. Actually the configuration for the one at Dell is 89.00 more than 1018.00 since Dell charges 89.00 for 15 months of Norton Internet Security, which is included in the Best Buy one. A rip off for sure (as are many of Dell's upgrades)...Best Buy also includes a free 15.00 Napster card this week...Hey it's not much but I picked up 2 brand new releases with the card today.
