I don't believe you will find this receiver any cheaper than $403. Tiger Direct just got these open box returns in stock today. Apparently they only have 20 left.
Tiger Direct is also an Onkyo authorized dealer. So you get a full "Limited warranty 24 months for parts and 24 months for labor".... being as these are 'new' open box returns. http://www.onkyousa.com/locations_intdealer.cfm
================================================================= The Onkyo TX-SR706 is a mid-range HT amplifier, which has a suggested retail price of $899. IMO, the most amazing feature is the Audyssey MulEQ room correction system, which has to be seen in action to be believed.
Some of the biggest differences between the newer 707 vs. 706
Burr Brown DAC vs. Cirrus Logic 7.2 channel vs. 7.1 channel Dolby trueHD Pro logic IIz Audyssey DSX vs. Audyssey MulEQ Video Upconversion
Whether these extras are worth an additional $200+ at J&R after 12% Bing CB is up to you. The good news is that the 706 weighs 3lbs more than the 707. :look:
On the right hand corner look for 12.5% Bing CashBack at Tiger Direct, and click it
There's also a $20 off $200 Paypal promotion. A CSR informed me that Bing and Paypal are two separate promotions, so both should work. Bing Gods willin', you should expect to see the $20 deposited in your Paypal account in approximately 6-8 weeks after your purchase.
Your purchase might not be eligible for CashBack for one of the following reasons:
You opened the store's website in a different web browser. Your browser is not configured to accept cookies. The purchase is not completed in the same web browsing session (not to exceed 24 hours) initiated by clicking the eligible advertisement or listing. This would include opening a new browser window or tab within the same browser. Your order was canceled or the goods or services were returned. The store didn't report the purchase to Microsoft. You also used a separate discount or coupon, a gift card, or a gift certificate. The goods or services were acquired for resale or other business purposes. You made the purchase from yourself or entities that you control. You've exceeded the annual monetary cap on CashBack rewards. Additional limitations for purchases on certain store sites might apply. Those limitations are disclosed on the store site.
The only specification to receive the $20 is to pay using Paypal during the specified time period, August 10th through Aug. 31st. There's no link to click or code submit. Microsoft also pays eBayCashBack, and now stipulates paying through Paypal.

Signed up specifically for this...to say THANKS!! even w/o paypal, this is best you can get. In for one!!!
Great find, and with 3% Bing CashBack... so it would be 375.38. I believe they are one in the same. And it would also be eligible for the warranty, as Newegg is an authorized dealer. Too bad mine already shipped.
Newegg just changed the price to $449.99 from $386.99. I wouldn't be surprised if they monitor these deals sites. BTW, Newegg is running the same $20 off for paying with Paypal promotion. Suddenly the TigerDirect becomes the better deal again.
Edit: Now up to $505.99 at Newegg. Probably adjusting the price based on page views.
I still fail to see that no matter how or what you do to get the Paypal promotion, that doesn't put you in violation of Bings TOS. It says in plain english that you aren't to use it in conjunction with any other discount or promotion. Sadly, it will be long past your return period when you find out you're not going to get your $50 CashBack.
To get the Paypal discount, you merely have to send payment using Paypal. No where in Bing's TOS does it state you cannot pay with Paypal. In fact, in one instance they actually demand payment by Paypal, at eBay.
I have the 705, and it's an awesome receiver. I got it at Circuit City (a couple of years ago - before they went OOB) as a display model for $375+tax, and thought I'd never see a deal even close. This is better, since there's probably no tax for you.
