I've seen a couple of discussions about calling Michelin to get this rebate. When I called the representative told me that they just put the rebate form online. It is at www.friendsforsavings.com. The offer is for $60 off a purchase of four Michelin tires. The offer expires 10/31/09.

Can't get your link to work. Try this: Rebate link

I bought a new set of Michelins ten days ago, and this will help offset the cost. Thanks, OP

Do you think this can be used in conjunction with the discount tire $70 rebate? (Attached Michelin rebate for viewing only as user info is void)

can this be combined with Costco coupon>

No, costco and Sam's Club won't work with this friends/family rebate.
People have tried in the past and were rejected.

Yes, this stacks with the discount tire promo.

michelin states, not valid with any other offer.

I was going to purchase tires next month, thanks op!

I would think so. I combined the F&F with the a similar promotion at DT last month. At that time DT had a 70 of a set of four and I think another 50 or 60 off if u put the purchase on their card. I just received the F&F check the other day, and both DT checks so I saved a bunch.

Just bought another set of 4 the other day and called Michelin for the coupon. Just received it yesterday. I got the first one from a posting on CL

Off to DT to see if I can do a return / buy - I think they have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee -

What Costco coupon????

Now ... anyone have a good deal on a set of Michelins?

Sears has a promotion of 3 free oil changes when we purchase 4 michelin tires, looks like a good deal if we combine with this rebate. Not sure how much they charge for installation, hazard warranty etc.

Discount Tire seems pretty good about pricematching Costco or Sams. Sams has instant $70 off. So if you buy at DT after pricematching Sams, then you could send in both DT rebate as well as Michelin rebate. So, if either of the rebates would work with a PM at Discount tire, that would probably be the way to go.

Buy from Direct Tire on their eBay store. Get 10% Bing Cash. Then send both $60 and $70 (I asked DT, they accept if bought from their eBay store) rebates. I think this should work. I just calculated and you can pretty much get one tire for free of four tires.

Where do you guys get the tires installed?

Discount Tire is a CashBack store on Bing with 10% CashBack. No need to go thru eBay. You might not be able to price match if you purchase it from eBay, but you can pricematch if you purchase it directly on their website or phone.

I recently purchased 4 Goodyear tires from DT and my 10% Bing CB is pending.

I got it installed at WalMart; purchased it from dicount tire.
Walmart Tire Charges

Total for mounting, life time balancing, valve stems, disposal fee for 4 tires was $58 + 7% (NJ) tax. I didn't find anything cheaper than this, not even close.

Damn, i just bought 4 Michelin tires from TireRack thru FW CashBack and it doesnt qualify for the $70 rebate. I wonder if TireRack is a qualified michellin retail location for the $60 rebate

Did anyone notice that at discounttire through bing that it offers free mounting and balancing? But then I couldn't find any mention on how to get it. It'll be great if that works. No sales tax, free mounting, bing CashBack, rebates,...!

I did not know DT was a CashBack store. However, last week when I almost purchase tires from their eBay store, the eBay CashBack was 13%. I think Bing/eBay is back to 10%.

cool, just pulled the trigger on some Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 tires for my bimmer. With CashBack and rebate, less than half the price of the Michelins I was considering buying.

So did you buy it first at DT through CashBack and then call to PM?

I did not buy it yet but which store would you PM with? As far as I know (at least the tires I checked) tire prices are the cheapest at DT. TireRack is few $$ cheaper but they do not have free shipping. DT seems to be the cheapest especially with free shipping and no tax to most states.

Strange, I just spoke to a Customer service rep and they told me that $70 rebate on their regular site will NOT apply to purchases from their eBay store.

Last time I tried to buy lifetime balance from WalMrt - they told me only applies to tires they sell you.
????????????????????????

I talked to a lady name Jackie and I got a response from them on eBay that they do accept it. I do not know what to say.

Yes, this stacks with the discount tire promo.

Why wouldn't this work with at Costco? Are they not a "qualified Michelin retail location"?

man discount tire reduced the CashBack to 5% hesitated a day to pull the plug and lost 5%

Can I expect the Bing CashBack % to change from day-to-day? I checked both yesterday and today and the Discount tire CashBack was 5% on Bing but I see earlier posters got 10%.

Is Michelin no longer offering this online? When I go to the link it says the promotion is over????

It's not available online anymore but if you call, they will mail you the form. As far as I know, the rebate is good until 10/31.

I went to the Michelin rebate PDF file that, Cheepskate uploaded on August 22nd. (Fatwallet) I printed out the form, and if you look at where you put your name, address. city, state, zip, phone and email address... On the form, it has printed where your name goes, the letter, "P", last name, "P", address, "1", city "O", state, "AL" which is of course Alabama, then the zip is "11111" Is this a legitimate form? If you look at the fine print the date goes until October 31, 2009 on this form... User Cheepskate says it's void, but according to the date, it's not. Here's the URL: http://s.fatwallet.com/static/attachments/16144_friendsofmichelin.pdf Anybody with an explanation would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, I called Michelin at 800-847-3435. (Ask for the friends of Michelin rebate.) NO COSCO, OR Sam's Club! This $60.00 rebate is available until, 10/31/2009. The woman who I talked to, told me that the form has to be mailed to you, and could take from 7-10 days before you receive it. You have until, 11/28/2009 to mail it in... but the 11/28/2009 mailing time couldn't be verified by her; only by the form I mentioned in my last post. I asked her if the form is available on line, and she said no.

Read the fine print. It clearly states that copies of the form are not accepted. Of course, a PDF is a copy not the original, which as stated earlier in this post can only be had by mail from Michelin

Hmmm. I don't believe the Michelin mail-in rebate can be combined with the Costco rebate. When you go to Michelin tire website and search under "Tire Dealer Locator", Costco is not shown as participating in the fall promotion. (The participating dealers are shown with a round, yellowish-orange icon that contains "$70" within it.) This is the case for Costco in Fountain Valley, CA, 92708. You may want call and directly ask Costco.

What is this "Costco rebate"? I was only aware of the Michelin rebate...which apparently isn't being honored for purchases made at Costco.

I got the "Made for Sears" LTX's which are XC LT4's and I love them. I did get my $60 Michelin Friends rebate.

Next I will try the free oil change rebate at Sears. I will post their prices and the rebate results at that time.

I sent my Friends/Family Rebate in Oct 16th from NC .... How long should it take to show up in 411rebates system???

Skipping 5 Messages...

Yeah, that's essentially what I was told. Costco was authorized, but the in-store coupon was actually a Michelin coupon hence no F&F rebate on top of this. Still seems kind of misleading to me.
