I'm not sure why the red....crazy that a G10 replacement is out so quickly, though. At least the time frame between the G9 and the G10 was a little more reasonable.

Great that the G11 has the articulating screen. We have a G5 and love it.

I'm glad that the megapixel race ended with the G11. The G10 was a 14.7MP and the G11 is now a 10MP. THANK goodness. Hopefully the average consumer will see that the G11 will likely put out much cleaner pictures than the G10, and that less megapixels = a GOOD thing. In any case, this is no deal.

$499 is retail. Not a deal.

So you people say the G11 is better than the G10. Less Megs, Articulating screen...ETC. If this camera is better and still the same price, pre-order, as the G10, then THAT IS WHAT MAKES IT A DEAL!!!

I swear, I wish the Saber Tooth Tiger was re-incarnated for all the stupid, lacking common sense, do not know better, people in this world. I have 2 G10's , one I got as a gift, and now that the G11 is coming out, at the same price as the G10, I will have a hard time getting the money to buy my LCD. Unless one of the people that gave red, wants to buy my G10!

performance in a small package. can't take dslr to concerts, .etc.

though it hardly touches a dslr's quality if the dslr is operated correctly.

take a look at the new micro four-thirds cameras. those prices are insane, but the performance is supposed to be amazing.
