Just bought mine. Search for the camera on Bing Shopping and you'll find a 10% off link to CompUSA. Pay with Paypal and there's another $20 back.
And no California Tax!

Canon Powershot SD780 IS Black $223.99

Shipping & Handling: $1.99

Grand Total: $225.98

Less Bing 10% (22.59)

Less Paypal $20 (20)

Net cost 183 .39

This sounds like a good deal, but I don't see where to get the $20 discount by paying via PayPal. ButcherBoy (the OP), can you please explain?

As I posted over in the SD thread about this deal, you can get it for $173 (free shipping) with the same PayPal promo and 15% bing CashBack at CircuitCity.com. Search "circuit city" at Bing to find the 15% off link.

Silver or bronze color only, no black.

Searching for Circuit City I see the 15% Cash Back advertisement in the "Sponsored Sites" section on the right hand side. When I click it, it takes me to Circuit City's website, but it doesn't give me the pop-up confirmation message I get when I went to CompUSA's website. Am I doing something wrong or does it for some reason just now show a pop-up at CircuitCity.com?

Yes, kinda old news if you've been hanging around these forums a long time. Normally the three entities have identical inventory, pricing, and rebates---but the shipping costs/promos can vary, as can the PayPal promos. So I felt it was obviously a good idea to post the CC option anyway.

If anyone got in on the Dell deal ($150+tax FS) posted & pulled from FW on Aug/5, mine was shipped yesterday after a long wait. Maybe Dell was waiting for a price reduction from Canon.
