I personally use Astraweb and Alt.Binz usenet program, it is definitely worth making a donation to get the latest version that allows you to search most of the top NZB search site right in the app. You have to register in the forum, then make a donation to get the latest version.
Probably would want to add "good for life of membership" to the title.

Anybody use them? I use newshosting for $15/month and I'm happy with them.

These guys are high wind resellers. I have had their subscription for about 2 months from another reseller of them and the service has been pretty darn good. I almost always get the best speed 3400-3800 Kbps with my downloads. I used to have astraweb and I noticed a slight difference in speed for the worse with them compared to these guys. It may have to do with their(astraweb)'s datacenter being in San Jose, vs, highwinds being in DC/No Va.

newsdemon is very fast but remember they do block some binary groups that some others do not. They are great for my purposes... Also the News Rover news reader they let you have for free.. Containes software thet prevents you for searching for some particular words or pharases. So if you want to get everything like I do I bought the Usenet Reader for $35 and it searches anything and everything.. Even banned newsgroups that dont show up on the lists. imop

What groups do they block?

they block them if you pay through paypal since pp has a no-porn policy.
btw i can't even remember how, or where, but i went to some newsgroup site and they had a link for 20% off newsdemon service. i clicked it and refreshed the page that i had open with the 10.95 price and it reduced that to $8.21. needless to say, i jumped on that deal.
i wish could remember the site, but was going through so many site looking for reviews and such that i lost track. i came from newshosting.com who are also high wind resellers, but something about some routing issues with at&t makes me drop a lot of packets. no problems with newsdeamon though.

thnx just switched over from usenetserver.com to newsdemon. I have been with usenetserver.com for so long. Never really had an issue with them, just time for a change. Besides newzbin.com what other sites would you recommend for searching?

NzbMatrix has been doing pretty good lately and soon sabnzbd will support them. Binsearch.info is ok in that it catalogs everything automatically, but you don't get user feedback like nzb forums.

Is this eligible for their PREMIUM ENCRYPTED SERVERS? I tried and it kept failing so I resorted to just using useast.newsdemon.com , but its not encrypted is it?
ya after reading that thing at gizmodo i signed up with astraweb for $11/mo unlimited and i have a constant SSL download at 15mbit (~1800/kbs). beats the hell out of what i was paying at easynews. currently upgrading all my favorite HD movies from 720p to 1080p max bitrate.
